Those who have become hate figures for the Murdoch goons at the Super Soaraway Currant Bun are used to being sniped and sneered at by the unappealing has-beens who pass for journalistic talent at the Baby Shard bunker. But to be made the subject of a whole column of moaning, snivelling inadequacy just for blocking someone on Twitter - now that’s a new one. But that is where desperation has led us today.
Lily Allen
We’ve known for a while that singer and campaigner Lily Allen is not allowed to express her own views without the right-leaning part of the Fourth Estate piling in on her. But that does not excuse “LIL CRUSADER Rochdale, Brexit, equal pay…how Lily Allen became the rent-a-gob of the left” which starts with the claim “A life-changing moment happened, yesterday: Lily Allen blocked me on Twitter”, and works its way down from there.
Under the by-line of Peter Lloyd, readers are told “The 32-year-old - who famously hates borders - built a virtual wall between us after I corrected her ‘logic’”. No, you made a pain in the arse of yourself and she decided that watching paint dry was marginally more interesting. But Lloyd has declared victory, sniggering “Defeated by common sense, she retreated into the comfort of her safe space - and out of my notifications forever”.
Peter Lloyd. Well, someone has to be
Someone blocked you on Twitter for making a nuisance of yourself. It’s not the most riveting pretext for a Sun column, is it? But do go on. “That's because Lily has steadily become the UK equivalent of Lena Dunham”. Whine! Blub! Sniff! Snot fair!
Can this self-congratulatory (and self-pitying) sneering get any worse? As if you need to ask: “In 2016, Lily came under fire when she apologised to Calais migrants on Britain’s behalf - insisting she would ‘100 per cent’ take in a refugee herself. Except, shortly before Christmas, she claimed she was unable to move back to her Notting Hill flat”. That, Peter, is called a false equivalence. Sneering about safe spaces, schooling the rotten lefties, virtue signalling and other lame self-promotion will not dig you out of that hole.
And while we’re at it, who is Peter Lloyd? He is, let us not drive this one round the houses for too long, a creep. An inadequate creep. Who churns out look-at-me-I’m-a-victim-and-so-are-all-poor-men drivel on the off-chance that the feminist-bashing rump of the press establishment will throw him a biscuit, as the Mail did when promoting a book he wrote claiming that he and other poor downtrodden men are being “denigrated”.
Don't call us, we won't call you
He’s been published by Spiked, so called because it should have been a long time ago, once again pushing his tedious contrarian schtick. He extends his victimhood-playing to using the Twitter handle @Suffragentleman. And his self-celebrated logic extends to taking Ms Allen’s talk of “Rich white men who control everything” and sneering “If @lilyallen hates powerful white men so much, why does she support Jeremy Corbyn?”
She said “Rich white men who control everything”. Jezza is in opposition, and is not rich. And if the Sun is so desperate that it has to employ the services of this preening, inadequate creep, then it’s even further down the slippery slope than I thought.
This column shows that most on Merseyside were right: Don’t Buy The Sun.

Lloyd?
A tenth rate Yankified arse head with hair gel. He's "worked" in New York, you know. And gosh! he's "worked" for Madonna.
Murdoch's goon squad is riddled with similar deluded no-marks.
Do these idiots who write for that grotesque rag and its owners have no shame when they get up and go to work everyday?
Whoops. My mistake. They are only printing the news.
Except when they aren't.

Nominations for potential new members always welcome.
If it looks like a knob, talks like a knob and behaves like a knob, then it probably is a knob. 'Nuff said.
The Murdcock press did the same thing with Steve. They wrote an article about how he blocked one of their "reporters".
How low the mighty press have fallen of late (seriously they have all turned into sad little children winging about how they've been blocked by the new popular kids): https://skwawkbox.org/2018/01/22/sunday-times-thinks-its-news-that-we-blocked-someone/
