So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have to be out and about later. So there.
6 Guido Fawked - Chuka Mail Spin Busted The perpetually thirsty Paul Staines and his rabble at the Guido Fawkes blog pretended that someone in the Labour Party had accused the Mail of doorstepping a 102 year old grandmother. Except that they didn’t actually have any facts to stand that one up. Another fine mess.
5 Simon Danczuk - You’re Full Of Crap Rochdale’s self-promoting and nominally Labour MP has no room to call “London-centric” or “Metropolitan” on anyone.
4 Don’t Menshn Whitto The ever-hopeful Louise Mensch pretended that her favoured Government had put the mockers on any progress on press regulation, and that it was going to emasculate the BBC. Except that she was talking complete crap.
3 Another Legal Threat Rebuffed The latest Nastygram came from solicitors acting on behalf of the odious flannelled fool Henry Cole, tame gofer to the perpetually thirsty Paul Staines. It did not trouble the scorers.
2 Guido Fawked - Watson Smear Busted The suggestion by the Fawkes rabble that Labour MP Tom Watson had diverted “hundreds of activists” to the ultimately unsuccessful attempt to secure the Sheffield Hallam constituency for his party was totally false.
1 Chuka - Press Still A Disgrace For signalling that he would be a candidate for the Labour leadership, Streatham MP Chuka Umunna found his Mum being followed home, and his partner’s 102 year old grandmother being doorstepped. Small wonder he thought twice about being a candidate.
And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
