So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have to be out and about later. So there.
6 Donkey Erection On Awards Shortlist The perpetually thirsty Paul Staines and his rabble at the Guido Fawkes blog were shortlisted in the Politics Journalism category at the British Journalism Awards 2016. Then they managed to pull off two horribly amateurish howlers. Press Gazette might come to regret that shortlisting. Another fine mess.
5 Queen Backs Brexit WAS Gove Now we know that Michael “Oiky” Gove had a meeting with the Murdoch inner circle - including the man himself - a week before the infamous “Queen Backs Brexit” Sun front page. That makes him a nailed-on certainty as the source.
4 Karen Danczuk’s Pork Delivery The desperate former wife of Spanker Si welcomed her Spanish partner to her house. But most of the press wasn’t interested, even in his huge and rigid piece of pork. Oo-er!
3 Lineker Voices Celeb Press Fears The former footballer and Match Of The Day lead presenter spelt it out - others in the public arena don’t speak out about press abuses for fear of reprisals.
2 UKIP - A Truly Fascist Party Nigel “Thirsty” Farage attacked the judiciary because they made a decision that displeased him - and then announced a 100,000 strong march on the Supreme Court, should they not do his bidding.
1 Louise Mensch No Longer On Heat Street The (thankfully) former Tory MP took her Twitter feed private, and then vanished from the front page from her Murdoch-bankrolled website. It looks like the end for Heat Street, despite the protests to the contrary.
And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
