Twitter SUSPENDS Andy Wigmore

Those out there on the Brexiteer right have not taken kindly to the news that their hero, Combover Crybaby Donald Trump, lost the 2020 United States Presidential Election. The reaction has included Brexit Party Oberscheissenführer Nigel “Thirsty” Farage, who bet and lost £10,000 on a Trump victory, declaring that Joe Biden, who won the contest, “hates Britain”. Nige’s pals were equally unhappy at their loss of access.

Bye bye Wiggy

One of those most vociferous on the subject was the appallingly slimy Andy Wigmore, who, let us not forget, was one of those who appeared in the photo, along with Farage, Arron Banks, pollster Gerry Gunster and the Walter Mitty-like figure of Raheem “call me Ray” Kassam, alongside Trump in front of his unfeasibly gauche gold lift.

Wiggy was there on the evening of November 3, eagerly telling anyone not yet asleep “From inside the Trump war room ‘Florida going Trump BIG’”. But, as the Tweeter known as Max Tundra pointed out, by yesterday the account had been suspended. Soon after that, Mark Cunliffe saw it too: “I didn't think the last few days could get any better”.

What had happened? Apparently, he had been told “Hello Andy Wigmore. Your account has been suspended for violating the Twitter Rules. Specifically, for violating our rules against posting violent threats. You may not threaten violence against an individual or a group of people”. Ominously, the message continued “Note that if you attempt to evade a permanent suspension by creating new accounts, we will suspend your new accounts”.

Permanent suspension? Well, well. Sadly, Wiggy did not have the benefit of a blue tick. Could it get worse? It certainly could: not long after the news broke, the Observer’s Carole Cadwalladr, who has been smeared and pursued by Wiggy for some time now, happened on the scene and decided to pay her respects in her own inimitable style.

Uh oh!” she began, adding “Never mind, [Andy Wigmore]. There’s always Facebook”. That, of course, may change as Zuck and his pals become aware of all the right-wing unpleasantness using their platform. Still, Ms Cadwalladr did send “Thoughts & prayers”. She also included that photo. Six losers in search of reality.

Will we see Wiggy restored to Twitter any time soon? I hope not. In any case, one Tweeter who appears to have some knowledge of that sort of thing was not optimistic about his prospects. “Good luck waiting for an appeal, it's a month long backlog at least Andy!

The Twitter presence of Andy Wigmore was for a time, but not for all time. Just rejoice at that news.

Always gratifying to see the likes of Wigmore kicked off Twitter, but reading his 'offending' tweet, I'm not sure what for. As far as I can see he was quoting others. Presumably the Twitter algorithms dont take account of " " around a sentence. Unless of course he was making up the quote.

Can Farage afford to lose that kind of money, or was it just his imagination running away with him. Again.
