Bozo Congratulates Biden - EVENTUALLY

When the result was declared, the sense of relief was palpable. Joe Biden, like an old warrior called back to the battlefield to slay one last foe, had prevailed over Combover Crybaby Donald Trump, consigning him and his gang to the dustbin of political history, cheered on by all those who wished it had happened rather earlier.

But in Downing Street, the impression was given that alleged Prime Minister Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson and his pals were not among those cheering. Biden’s Irish ancestry and his commitment to the Belfast Agreement, and his dislike of the Internal Market Bill, do not augur well for the Special Relationship.

The winner Bozo didn't want ...

Nor does Bozo taking his time giving his congratulations to the President and Vice President Elect. It was telling to see who got there first: Labour Leader Keir Starmer, telling “Congratulations to [Joe Biden] on his election as President of the United States of America. He ran a campaign on the values that we in the United Kingdom share - decency, integrity, compassion and strength … And I want to congratulate [Kamala Harris] on being elected Vice-President, the first woman of colour to take that role”.

... and a VP he didn't want, either. Awkward eh?

That was at 1642 hours. Two minutes later, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon added “Congratulations from [Scotland] to President-Elect Joe Biden and to history-making Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris … The first woman in the White House - and the first woman of colour too. This is a big and special moment”. Who was next? Not Bozo.

That honour fell to his successor at Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, just six minutes after Ms Sturgeon. “Congratulations [Joe Biden] and [Kamala Harris] on your well-deserved win. London looks forward to working with you - it's time to get back to building bridges, not walls”. Late tackle on the Trump border myth there. And still no Bozo.

Even the Lib Dems managed to beat the PM: although Ed Davey seemed to miss the announcement, his deputy Daisy Cooper did not. That, for a while, was that. It took another 52 minutes for Bozo to grudgingly pipe up. Long enough to be conspicuous.

So grudgingly that when former President Barack Obama - a good friend of the Bidens who was so publicly insulted by Johnson over Brexit and trade deals - gave his endorsement, it put Bozo in the shade. Why might all of this matter?

This quote from Business Insider tells you why. “Figures on Biden's campaign have told Business Insider that the president-elect has genuine hostility towards the prime minister who he believes is a right-wing populist cut from the same cloth as the outgoing president”. Even the Murdoch Times was scathing, quoting someone in Biden’s own party.

‘I’m old enough to remember Boris Johnson said Obama opposed Brexit because he was Kenyan,’ wrote Ben Rhodes, a senior Democrat. He is typical of a strand of Democratic opinion that sees Johnson as the outgoing president sees him: ‘Britain Trump’”. To which one observer added “Lucky Kamala doesn't have any ‘ancestral dislike of the British Empire’ isn't it?” Bozo’s racist bigotry will not serve him well with the new President.

All of which means that, while Johnson is in No 10, we are even more totally screwed.

The fat, lying slob has at last realised that he's toast. There are already moves to ditch him.

Dominic Raab, who some idiot appointed as Foreign Secretary also tweeted his congratulations to Biden and Harris yesterday evening.

However, it should not be forgotten that Raab received short shrift from the Democrats on his last visit to Washington in September, with Biden subsequently tweeting: "“We can’t allow the Good Friday Agreement that brought peace to Northern Ireland to become a casualty of Brexit. Any trade deal between the U.S. and U.K. must be contingent upon respect for the Agreement and preventing the return of a hard border. Period.

Bozo can still rely on anti-Semite Viktor Orbán for a Christmas card.

Is it possible for a country to spit-roast itself out of sheer incompetence, hubris and stupidity?

You might like to update the post or use elsewhere, the comments from Tommy Vietor, who was a spokesman for Obama - he's got Johnson sussed:

"This shapeshifting creep weighs in. We will never forget your racist comments about Obama and slavish devotion to Trump but neat Instagram graphic."
