Extinction Rebellion - Pundits Can’t Cope

Another day of protest against the lack of action on climate change, together with all its undesirable side-effects, like the mass extinction of species, has been taking place in London. This manifestation of direct action has clearly upset the media establishment, whose inmates have taken it all rather badly. And rather intolerantly.
The sudden rush of sympathy for the ordinary people they spend most of the time avoiding was typified by the Sun’s non-bullying political editor Tom Newton Dunn, who carped “Our capital city has again been ground to a total halt today by a few hundred climate change protesters. Why don't police just arrest the lot of them?
Yeah, right to protest? What’s one of those when it’s whitewashed? And he wasn’t finished. “But the protesters are doing no harm, some say? @metpoliceuk have just revealed #ExtinctionRebellion have closed 55 London bus routes - meaning 500,000 commuters are struggling to get home tonight”. Like he’d be seen dead using a bus.
The loathsome Toby Young was apoplectic with, er, something. “So the police stand by and do nothing when left-wing extremists blockade bridges and busy streets in London, but stretch every sinew to investigate “mis-gendering” on Twitter. Sort it out @sajidjavid”. Since when did Sajid Javid have responsibility for Policing in London?
Whatever. Also beside herself with righteousness was Julia Hartley Dooda, whining “Which part of blockading major streets and bridges is ‘peaceful’?” Oh I dunno, the part where they don’t use violence, unlike the Yellow Vest crowd she had no problem with.
But she wasn’t listening, and nor was she getting the point of the protests. “What would happen if I tried to drive my car across the bridge they blockaded, as I am legally entitled to do?” Selfish clowns like her are what brought us to this point. Also, Tobes was as so often wrong - over 100 arrests were made on the first day of the protests.
Other members of the intolerant club were also taking to Twitter to voice their displeasure, such as the odious flannelled fool Master Harry Cole, who sniffed “The state of this”. Look in a mirror if you really want to see the state of something, Master Cole.
His pal, the world’s most clueless pundit Tim Montgomerie, didn’t see the point in all those arrests. “How long will those 122 be detained for though? Probably a ridiculously short time and will be back on the Bridge doing exactly the same”. Yeah, the cops are dead soft under that rotten leftie Sadiq Khan, aren’t they?
Still, there was always a protester for Sky News Gammon Emeritus Adam “don’t you know who I am” Boulton to verbally rough up, and having done so, Mark Wallace sneered “Listen to what he says about his view of his own mandate. Because he is in his view saving the planet, anything he and his group do to negatively impact others is obviously totally justified and beyond question. It's the egotistical seed of quite a dangerous idea”.

So says someone who used to work for the so-called Taxpayers’ Alliance, another source of climate change denialism. Alongside Tobes and his pal James “saviour of Western civilisation” Delingpole. And the Guido Fawkes rabble who Wallace quoted in his Tweet. They all thought it was a game. Well, the next generation are here to tell them it isn’t.
