Some of those lauding pro-am motormouth Katie Hopkins might think that, because she expends so much time and energy ranting about Scary Muslims (tm), and especially talking about “Muslim rape squads”, that she is an unswerving opponent of inappropriate behaviour by men against women. Sadly, that thought would have been misplaced, because Hatey Katie has been talking with forked tongue.
Viewers may still want to look away now
When it’s followers of The Prophet doing the sex pest thing, Ms Hopkins cannot demand enough action against them. Due process of law? Pah! That’s for softy liberal tofu munching Guardian readers. They’re Muslims, therefore They Done It, end of story. But when it’s a host from Fox News Channel (fair and balanced my arse) who is white and most definitely conservative, we must not rush to judgment.
The first indication of this unusual stance came when Ms Hopkins expressed her sympathies for Eric Bolling and wife Adrienne after news broke that their son had been found dead. “So often, sorry is too small a word” she mused, mentioning a word that is normally not to be found in the Hopkins vocabulary. But then came another comment on Bolling - about his recent, and abrupt, firing from FNC.
Don't rush to judgment, she says ...
Above a photo of Bolling from an FNC broadcast, she asserted “Time to change the law. Extend anonymity to those alleged to have committed sexual harassment. The family of the accused deserve protection”. That’s a rather compassionate line for Hatey Katie - normally she’d be all for banging them all up and throwing away the key. But for the now former co-host of FNC’s The Five, she is happy to make an exception.
There is, however, a problem here. Fox News does not have to answer to Katie Hopkins, or anyone else, for its hiring and firing decisions. And as Salon has reported, “a dozen sources said that Bolling sent unsolicited photos of his genitalia to at least three female colleagues at Fox. Bolling was suspended pending investigation”. And after that investigation was completed, FNC decided they could get along fine without Bolling.
... except when it's a Muslim
The network’s statement made clear there would have been no doubt in Fox management’s mind: “Fox News Channel is canceling ‘The Specialists,’ and Eric Bolling and Fox have agreed to part ways amicably … We thank Eric for his ten years of service to our loyal viewers and wish him the best of luck”. Yes, Bolling has launched a lawsuit against the HuffPost reporter who broke the story. But also note “a dozen sources”.
Salon also noted “With his termination, Bolling joins former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes, host Bill O’Reilly both of whom were all forced out of News Corp after sexual harassment allegations”. But Katie Hopkins is happy to back Bolling, where she wouldn’t do so if the man concerned was a Muslim. That Bolling and his wife have suffered the shock news of their son’s death does not excuse Hatey Katie.
Something to bear in mind when you next see her sounding off about sex pests and claiming they’re all Muslims. With whom Ms Hopkins clearly has a problem.

"Hatey Katie has been talking with forked tongue."
Speaking anatomically, even on Ms Hopkins, the rectum is a strange location for the tongue.
To Steve Woods.
I think you'll find Hopkins' tongue has been in some places not inadjacent to people like, say, Rupert Murdoch and "Lord" Rothermere......
