Isabel Oakeshott’s Importance Delusion

While alleged Prime Minister Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, aided and abetted by his chief polecat Dominic Cummings, attempts to talk rebel Tory MPs out of supporting a bill to prevent him from taking the UK out of the EU without a deal, those in and around the Brexit Party, latest electoral vehicle for the promotion of Nigel “Thirsty” Farage, have decided that they are getting an insufficiently large piece of the action.
One of those thus deciding is mercenary hack Isabel Oakeshott, who has made it clear that Bozo The Clown and Polecat Dom should be discussing an electoral pact with the Farage Falange Fringe if they are to stave off direct competition in a number of seats where splitting the anti-EU vote may let in Labour or the Lib Dems.
The problem for Ms Oakeshott is twofold. One, she overstates the importance of her Brexit Party pals, telling “Some Tories shrug off the threat from [the Brexit Party], pointing out that Cameron won a (small) majority in 2015 when UKIP polled around 14pc. A mistake: times have changed and [the Brexit Party] is a very different beast to UKIP”. True, but mainly because the Brexit Party is not a democracy. Farage is effectively leader by diktat.
Otherwise, it’s just another electoral vehicle for Mr Thirsty to use in the formulation of More And Bigger Self-Promotion Opportunities For Himself Personally Now. Still, on she goes. Nige will ally with Bozo if the latter commits to No Deal: “This would of course mean abandoning any attempt to renegotiate the Withdrawal Agreement, which would save everyone a lot of time and effort anyway. And I guess [the Brexit Party] would want something in return for clearing the field”. We’re into making demands already.
And she is effectively telling the Tories that they must talk to her and her pals, and do so in short order: “The [Brexit Party] won’t cut [the Tories] any slack without some kind of electoral pact. Which nobody on the Tory side seems to be discussing”. Perhaps they don’t want their party to split any further than it already has done?
The second problem Ms Oakeshott and her pals face is their involvement in the leaking of Kim Darroch’s diplomatic cables. As the Telegraph has now revealed, the Metropolitan Police are taking the matter very seriously indeed, telling “Police have evidence ‘a very serious crime’ was committed when diplomatic cables by Britain’s US ambassador were leaked, the country’s most senior officer has said”. Do go on.
Squeaky trust not on your nelly finger up the bum time

Scotland Yard were asked to investigate whether there had been a breach of the Official Secrets Act when details of the secret memos appeared in a Sunday newspaper in July … Yesterday, Cressida Dick, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, provided fresh details about the saga, saying the investigation into the leak ‘continues’”.
Ms Oakeshott was involved, as were her gofer Steven Edginton, and her partner Richard Tice. She needs to get real. But instead, the delusion takes over: “If gen election is pre 31st Oct, how will Boris convince battle weary Brexiteers to put their faith in him over the [Brexit Party]? [Nigel Farage] will run on issue of trust. And there goes the Tory majority”.

Farage? TRUST? I wouldn’t trust Farage to tell anyone the time of day. He’s a shameless and congenital liar. Ms Oakeshott is delusional on the importance of the Brexit Party, and more so on the issue of trustworthiness. So no change there, then.

Oakeshott - so far right she's bound to show up on a TV "press preview" in the next few days.
