Bozo The Clown Offers Chaos With Himself

We are constantly regaled with the assertion that alleged Prime Minister Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is not a clown, not interested only in promoting Himself Personally Now, and that his chief polecat Dominic Cummings is a mega-brain, a wizard, a master strategist and tactician, who dispenses fear, surprise and ruthless efficiency without recourse to nice red uniforms, or a fanatical devotion to the Pope.
However, and here we encounter a significantly sized however, one look as the front page of today’s edition of the Murdoch Sunday Times confirms that Bozo The Clown and Polecat Dom do not measure up to the hype. “Boris tells Tory rebels - it’s me or Corbyn chaos” is the headline, and observers across the UK will have encountered an instant sense of déjà vu on reading it. We have been here before.
That went well, then

It was in early May 2015 that Young Dave (remember him?) told his followers “Britain faces  a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband”. How did that one work out, then? Cameron, spooked by Nigel “Thirsty” Farage and his pals, called a referendum on Britain’s EU membership, lost it, and promptly ran away, leaving Theresa May to clear up the mess.

She also promised something that was “strong and stable” in association with another of those mega-brained wizards, Nick Timothy, before betting the house on a General Election where she lost her majority and emboldened the Labour opposition. Worse still, Bozo’s interview with Tim Shipman consists of him spewing out soundbites while failing to answer any of the questions put to him. He’s a sham Prime Minister.
This one hasn't aged well, either

Moreover, he and Polecat Dom know it. Hence the prorogation of Parliament. Hence the news that Tory MPs have been told that if they break ranks next week, they should consider themselves deselected, by Polecat diktat, whether their local Conservative associations stand by them or not. Bozo is now a blustering fig-leaf for a control freak out of control. You think I jest? There is worse to come.
Andrew Adonis has already read the ST interview - so you don’t have to - and has discovered “In today’s Sunday Times Johnson ‘refuses to rule out’ asking the Queen not to agree to a Bill enacted against his wishes by Parliament … No prime minister in history has behaved so unconstitutionally”. This has already been confirmed.

Steven Swinford, deputy political editor of the Times, said as much at the end of last week. “No 10 battle plan for next fortnight includes some extraordinary measures: Not asking for royal assent if rebels succeed in passing A50 extension bill … PM will refuse to resign if he loses confidence vote … Filibustering in Lords”.
Chaos with Jeremy Corbyn”? What Bozo and his pals are proposing, or rather what Polecat Dom is telling them to do, is to do away with such niceties as democracy, ignore the will of Parliament, hunker down in the bunker and use the Queen as cover.

The only chaos is coming from the Tories. No change there, then.

Sometimes I think the only way we can fix this country is for future MPs to meet certain requirements, like *not* having been to a public school, *not* having a degree in PPE, not having been a journalist, not been a lawyer/trades union official/civil servant and having worked for at least ten years in industry prior.

Wouldn't it be great if unelected "head of state" Lizzy von Windsor came out of her inherited, unearned, anti-democratic, over-privileged and one dimensional right wing bunker and told Bozo to, "Fuck off", or, in her case, "Fack orf".

It might help to erase the photo image of her and her family giving Nazi salutes, one even wearing Nazi regalia at a fancy dress party.

Won't happen of course......because Lizzy "Doesn't get drawn into politics"* - despite being "head of state".

*And if you believe that you'll believe anything.

So long as we don't follow the USA's solution to that conundrum

More to the point:

Teach civics in all schools. Build it into the NC. Basic political education, not even exploration of ideologies or standpoints, but such things as what powers reside at which level, what an MP is supposed to do, how the system operates.

Friends from abroad marvel at both the rampant political ignorance in this country, and at the perverse pride people take in it.

Amen to that.

I'm astonished that we were never taught anything as basic as "when you work some of the money you earn will be taken away. That money is then used to build roads, pay for hospitals, and give teachers a salary."

Unless I slept through that lesson, I guess...
