Tories Smear Covid Victims Group

Those who thought that alleged Prime Minister Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson’s swipe at Labour leader Keir Starmer at yesterday’s PMQs, trying to paint him as a terrorist sympathiser, was a low blow soon discovered that Bozo’s new media pals were already aiming rather lower - by smearing a group of bereaved relatives of Covid-19 victims.

Founded earlier this year, Covid-19 Bereaved Families For Justice had 200 members in late May when the Guardian told readersA group of families of people who died from Covid-19 have called for an immediate public inquiry into the UK’s coronavirus response, saying there is evidence the government is already trying to cover up its failings”.

Now, it claims to represent 1,600 families, and as the BBC reported yesterday, Bozo is not flavour of the month with them. “Campaigners representing families whose loved ones have died from coronavirus have accused Prime Minister Boris Johnson of being ‘heartless’ in declining to meet them … Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice said it wrote to Mr Johnson five times to request a meeting”. There was more.

What time is it Eccles?

Asked by reporters about the letters, the PM said he would ‘of course’ meet anyone bereaved by Covid-19. But days later he wrote to the group to say he was ‘unable’ to meet them. The group, which says it represents 1,600 families, said it was ‘devastated’ to receive the letter, which it has made public [see HERE]”. Bozo said he’d meet them, but had lied to get past a journalist’s question. Again. Which was bad enough.

However, and here we encounter a significantly sized however, worse was to come for team Bozo. The perpetually thirsty Paul Staines and his rabble at the Guido Fawkes blog then published a hatchet job on the group, authored by lockdown busting replacement teaboy Tom Harwood, titled “‘Covid Justice’ Group Is Momentum Front Organisation”.

Er, WHAT? There is more. Maybe too much more. “LEFT WING ACTIVIST FOUNDED ‘COVID JUSTICE’” tells the lying teaboy, going on to ladle on the smears by claiming “The founder of the group, however, who is sadly mourning her dad who died of the virus is a Labour Party and Momentum activist and self confessed Jeremy Corbyn fan. Her father was also a left-wing writer, described by his daughter as ‘a staunch socialist to the end’, who received a personal message from Jeremy Corbyn in his final weeks”.

Meaning what, exactly? “This is an entirely political operation … Is it any wonder that the Prime Minister is not keen to waste time meeting a Momentum activist who clearly sees Covid as an excuse to attack a party she has always loathed”. And, as Jon Stewart might have said, two things here. One, Harwood’s suggestion that Jo Goodman’s Dad isn’t so important because he was one of those Rotten Lefties™ is noted, thanks.

And Two, Ms Goodman is a co-founder of Covid-19 Bereaved Families For Justice. The other co-founder is Matt Fowler from Nuneaton, one of many bereaved relatives. More of those relatives have featured in the Guardian today, showing that Harwood’s insensitive and plainly vindictive hit piece is plain flat wrong. He should withdraw and apologise.

Worse, The Great Guido is fully invested in The Adoration Of The Boris. So either they thought that their man would have approved of this crass smear, or they were tipped the nod. Either way, it is bang out of order. An inept PM, backed by the lowest of the low.

There can be no doubt that the Tory party, Johnson and Cummings, Brexiters, right-wing 'think tanks' and lying paid press lackies, Guido and his cabal, foreign money and toxic social media have put British politics in the sewer.

Sadly, this is not surprising, about 2-3 years a number of schools and doctors along with the local foodbank raised the alarm publicly about the crisis of child and family poverty in the Westgate area of Morecambe.
They went public after being continuously ignored by Morecambe's MP, who is that individual, step forward one David Morris, a Conservative backbencher, a very loyal one.

Morris went on Granada Reports to denounce these professionals as Momentum activists and the Foodbank of trying to stitch him up by ambushing him with Labour Party propaganda,

Morris even sneakily reported the Foodbank for misuse of funding and being politically active..both untrue.

Morris got a huge backlash from the community, poverty is endemic in that area of his constituency, but because there are few or no rough sleepers in the town then poverty doesn't exist!

The smear factory is alive and well with the Tory party and it's hangers on.

They do not care who they smear, slander or upset. We have ladies and gentlemen, a sociopathic organisation in power led by some very dangerous individuals without a hot of empathy, conscience or remorse.
