Mandelson, so utterly devalued by his past, was involved with vetting prospective parliamentary candidates for the 2024 General Election. As if his being appointed UK ambassador to the USA was not unwise enough in itself, the ultimate political slimeball was there once more behind the scenes.
But it was not the UK’s free and fearless press that exposed the extent to which Mandelson had infiltrated Labour, the reality of his closeness to the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, or his willingness to allegedly pass the most confidential of information to the USA’s best-connected child abuser. That has come as a result of releases of The Epstein Files in the USA.
So many of those within the media establishment were gushing their praise of Mandelson when he was given the plum job in DC. So many of them were more than happy to socialise with the Prince of Darkness. So many of them, like so many senior Labour MPs, now claim they didn’t really know what Mandelson was like. Except they did, or they were totally naive.
Anyone with brain plugged in and a hole in their backside knew of the all too close friendship between Mandelson and Epstein. And that Mandelson, for instance, stayed at Epstein’s pad in New York City during the time that the latter first spent in jail. So the He-Lied-To-Us-Which-Means-We’re-The-Real-Victims-Here schtick is total baloney. It won’t bring alienated Labour activists back into the fold. Nor will it take the heat off Starmer and McSweeney.

Starmer is now saying he’s really, really, really sorry. He’s apologising profusely to Epstein’s victims. But it’s not Starmer who pushed for Mandelson to be given the DC job. It’s McSweeney. And for all those disillusioned activists, those who have left the Labour Party in their droves, this will not cut it. The sleazy, authoritarian, intolerant cabal running the party has to go.
Without their ground game at election time, Labour are finished. After that by-election comes a round of local elections. Shortage of foot soldiers means another horrendous set of results looms large. Removal of those who shat on Sue Grey, may have been not unconnected with Angela Rayner resigning, and who removed so many prospective candidates, is the only way out.
That means Starmer has to go. And working the PM from the shadows, Morgan McSweeney has to go, too, together with his cabal on Labour’s NEC. The media establishment has to tell this rabble of creeps that they will no longer accept the whisper-in-the-ear-drip-of-poison briefing. The Labour Together cancer must be cut out before it kills the party stone dead.
Senior Labour MPs, many in and around the media establishment, and those who have bankrolled those now slowly killing a once great party, need to take a long look in the mirror and realise that they have become the problem. The public is through with the lying, smearing, gaslighting and sleaze. They’re not the masters of the universe. They’re not even very naughty boys.
They’re just a stain on the body politic. And it’s time to wipe it clean.

Sigh.
Remember the "halcyon" days when dupes and morons could try to kid themselves "things will get better", that Labour hadn't been betrayed and corrupted since Kinnock, that Blair/Brown wasn't just another far right gang of mass murdering warmongering thieves, that deliberately inflicted poverty is the fault of the victims, that bankers aren't the lowest form of crawling life, that Murdoch/Rothermere and their employees aren't Nazi propagandists.
Ah yes, those were the days. But things will STILL get better.......
The only way that Starmer coul;ld have got out of this when this weeks emails came out was to say
"OK we knew he was a bit of a wrong un, but unfortunately thats the sort of person who you have to employ as an intermediary with The Orange Gropenfuhrer. we've made sure he was watched at every possible time whilst he was over there, and as soon as it became clear he hadn't been telling us the truth we sacked him.
we'd looked through what he told us were his messages with Epstein, and none of those in this latest batch appeared. so I've refered him straight to the serious crimes squad and the DPP"
It probably would have gone the same, but that touch of honesty would have played better with the public.
Although the Man Baby in Florida would have taken the grudge to the grave
Starmer: "It wasn't me guv. It was that nasty Mandelson and Epstein."
Yeah, right.
Starmer is but one symptom of the rotten-to-the-core far right British political system. Here is yet another example of just how deep rooted is the rottenness:
https://youtu.be/DNYUxQXpG3I?si=DcMLyVujVN_tbSYz
It needs not only the Labour Together cut out, it also needs the Blue Labour and Labour First lot cut out... they are all the same, and all lead by the same people working in the shadows.
Hell, the whole of Labour needs routing out... its so infected by people who's only true belief is "whats in it for me, how can I get shit loads of cash" and are beholden to capital - not labour. It needs to die, its no longer Labour. Sooner the better.
Oo look which "Reform"* hoodlum is "associated" with the convicted paedophile pimp Epstein.
*aka British Nazis.

18:15.
"... would have played better with the public."
So that's all politics is about, "playing better with the public"?
And this is how the British end of the system works.
https://www.thecanary.co/uk/analysis/2026/02/05/uk-media-intimate-ties/
This.
There's nothing new about Starmer's cowardice and lying hypocrisy. It long ago became standard.
Remember that guttersnipe rat Kelvin Mackenzie and how he spat on the graves of the Hillsborough dead. Then, when he was publicly exposed to the truth, blamed the police and politicians for his evil editorial decisions.
This dry rot of the soul has infested all levels of politics, "intelligence" agencies and corporate media. Disgusting lying cowards the lot of them.
Alas, the comfort blanket for those who genuinely do love this country, is not going to materialise. Starmer was put there by the establishment, and it will make sure that he stays there 'til the job is done.
I may be wrong. The back benches may grow a pair and push him and the rest of the repugnant cabinet out, along with the rest of the ugly right wing 'labour' groups.
But I doubt it.
The media, in the hope that Christmas will come early and Frottage will be in earlier than 2029, may well keep up the pressure until Starmer walks.
But do we really want that?
While I agree wholeheartedly with our friendly local Spart about our rotten establishment, about the fag paper difference between Labour, Tories and Reform, I also resent the establishment getting rid of a govt to suit it's own rotten ends.
As for Labour and Mandelson, the lies just don't stop do they? He was appointed as an advisor by Starmer in 2019, while at the same time Starmer admitted the Orc was 'only a phone call away'. So, Mandelson has been involved, at the top, for years.
Besides which, if previous scandals involving Mandelson didn't signal he was a wrong 'un, Starmer and the press were either thick as pig poo, or naive to the point of disbelief.
Or both.
.....a bunch of arrogrant business duits, who got so used to thinking things will always be akin to the 80s and 90s, that they had to learn the hard way, that in this century that the receipts are always kept. That zionist crybaby Streeting etc have been caught themeselves downplaying their relationshops with Epstein's mate is proof of how dispicable they are.
Curiouser and curiouser...... not just about the sex trafficking......
https://youtu.be/ws8N6b7QPkA?si=pCTWmM6iseOkPGVG
OK, so Starmer and McSweeney are toast, and not before time. And so also should be any number of the careerists, time-servers and sycophants who have benefitted from their ascendancy.
However, there will still be a general election within the next 4 years and there is a very good chance that this will result in a government formed by Reform, with or without what remains of the Tories. Preventing this is the one pressing duty of all of us
(though those who believe that we are already deep into the UK's second year of 'outright fascism' will presumably claim that to be governed by a party led by a City-boy, Nazi admiring, ethnonationalist, xenophobic, Trump-adjacent philistine and peopled with the worst elements of the undereducated, ex-BNP, Little England, Ukip gammonati would be no different to rule by an admittedly deeply, deeply-flawed and blood-soaked Labour party and that, therefore, they can't be arsed and will go back to their customary keyboard onanism interspersed with apocalyptic rantings which make Philipp Mainlander's words read like a Megan Markle fortune cookie).
So: any ideas, anyone? Serious ones?
Otherwise we're fucked.
According to Guru-Murthy of Channel 4 TV "News" British political parties are now "brands" which can be "trashed". Newspeak 2026.
Britain's far right corporate media propaganda clerks in a nutshell.
Of course they are 'brands', in the sense that voters have a view and an estimation of them which is reflected in the choice they make, however dim-witted, every 5 years.
Unclutch your pearls and stop pretending to be so bloody innocent.
19:10.
Now look what you've done. You'll just have to clean off all that rabid drip on your keyboard.
That's what being wrong about everything has done to you.
Tsk tsk.😂
Starmer?..... Pffffft.
If he "didn't know" it was because he didn't WANT to know.
Epstein was even more evil than sex trafficking. Quisling "Labour" has a lot to answer for.
https://youtu.be/wzGyRyeC4IE?si=UPY40EczI4XTqiC9
When the ship starts sinking, Quisling rats turn on each other.
Get a load of this from David "obese shithouse" Lammy:
https://www.thecanary.co/trending/2026/02/08/starmer-under-the-mandelson-bus/
Starmer and his fellow Quislings will neither join in or approve of this peaceful demonstration against Israeli Nazism and its mass murder of innocent Palestinians.
Because he's a self-proclaimed Zionist-without-qualification. And a coward.
https://www.thecanary.co/skwawkbox/2026/02/07/guardiola-defended-by-manchester/
Mcnasty has gone. Sadly, however, not gone from the Labour party, and thus once the heat wears off, doubtless the little creep will be back.
If anyone really wants to test their stomachs ability to hold it down, listen to Starmers speech accepting his resignation. A bigger tissues of lies and bullshit you couldn't hope to hear.
But that's not the definition of a brand Bertie. Explain?
Rather annoying when someone has been wrong at every instance and then asks us, those of us whom have joined parties and campaigned for a better world, for solutions.
Well ranty Tankie's clearly going to be not a great deal of help in stopping a Reform/Tory Throwback coalition.
Tim, any lessons to be learned from Portugal's C*n*r* Left defeat (I assume) of the Portuguese Farage?
Well, well.... the Epstein plot sickens.....
https://www.thecanary.co/skwawkbox/2026/02/08/epstein-prosecutors-drafted/
Epstein, Bannon, Thiel are very likely correct in their belief that Brexit will enable the asset-stripping of the UK.
They openly state that Farage, LePen, Weidel, Tommy Ten Names (described as cheap by Epstein) are their puppets/useful idiots, and the mainstream media is silent.
A vote for Brexit was a vote to be ruled by paedophiles. Hope the idiot Brexiters like what they voted for
McSweeney gone and good riddance. Hope he gets refused PIP.
But don't worry. There'll be another Cummings/McSweeney along in a minute.
Someone has to manage the soap opera "brands" in the one party Parliament supermarket.
20:19.
Calm down, calm down.
Quisling "Labour", Reform, tories, LibDems..... Doesn't matter which of the gobshites gets in. They'll all do what the Yanks/bankers order them to do. So you'll get your wish to stay on the outright fascism road. Especially when the next war comes along for you to support.
It's what you people do.
'Join parties and campaign for a better world': is that it, Malcolm?
That should have Reform and the Tories quaking in their jackboots.
Or am I wrong again?
Who claimed it was a 'definition', Sharon?
'In the sense that' indicates that 'brand' has various meanings, one of which is that bit of my post you seem to want explaining.
Wikipedia can help:
' "brand" now suggests the values and promises that a consumer may perceive and buy into.....and in the 21st century, extends into services (such as legal, financial and medical), and political parties.'
And if you don't understand that 'retail politics' is a useful metaphor for the unavoidable reality of attracting voters to a movement or a party, and that 'consumers' is an extension of that metaphor, then you are being as other-wordly and faux-innocent as Tankie was in his original moan.
Thanks for making it clear that, just as you were quite happy to have a Johnson/Truss/Sunak/Braverman/Patel/Jenrick government, as there was no point in getting rid of them, you will be perfectly happy with a government of Farage/Tice/Jenrick/Anderson/Jenkins/Pochin/Braverman/Kruger/Yaxley-Lennon and any other BNP/NF/EDL/PA entryist scumbags they happen to collect on the way, as, in your laughable estimation, we've already lived 2 years under 'outright fascism' and you wouldn't really notice the difference if the real thing arrived and started goose-stepping into your cellar and impounding your long-suffering, overworked laptop.
Tankie, you'll find that your arse is made up of bone and flesh covered in skin. If you stick a pin in it blood will come out. Now look at your elbow. Bone? Check. Flesh? Not so much. Skin? Indubitably. Pin and blood? Same effect.
Are they the same thing though, Tankie?
Most people down here in Babylon can tell the difference.
Call it nuance, if you like. I know you're a sucker for a bit of fancy metropolitan foreign usage.
But remember what you said:
Reform government? No problem.
19:45.
Oh dear.
You're getting worse, me ol' Quisling Micawber1.
Falsification and Oo Look Over There stuff is straight out of the Cummings/McSweeney playbook of "brand" politics.
Which is why Britain turned to shit four decades ago and now languishes in the Epstein sewer.
You indolent righties simply never learn.
You obviously are not going to like being pinned down, Tankie, but stow the abuse a moment and either admit or deny what your words appear to say:
Reform government in 3 years all the same to you? Or not?
What's your plan then Bertie? As you seem so keen to dismiss everything that isn't "trust Keir Starmer".
Bertie, you misunderstand because you never studied marketing. I presume you were in the life sciences.
You gave a context that was wrong. The only person who seems 5o take less responsibility than you is Sir Keir Starmer 😄
14:40.
Awwww, c'mon me ol' Quisling Micawber1.
Just admit you're wrong about everything. Man up, it's the democratic thing to do - even though we don't (and never have) live in a democracy. And even though we have a self-admitted fascist Zionist-without-qualification in Downing Street, the one who supports Israeli Nazis mass murder of innocent Palestinians.
Just take your truth medicine and throw away your McSweeney instruction manual. The action is cathartic and clean, unlike, say, Starmer and the Quisling gang and the other war criminals Blair/Brown. And Mandelson of course.
C'mon now. No, Oo Look Over There. No falsification.
Malcolm, would I have been asking others for ideas (something you seem to have taken exception to) if I had 'a plan' as you call it? Think about it.
And why on earth do you imagine that I believe we should 'trust Keir Starmer'.
Very silly.
You don't need to have 'studied marketing' to understand simple concepts like 'brands', Sharon.
'Life sciences' ? Que?
And 'Gave a context'? What does that even mean?
I don't know who anonymous is, but i think it is worth pointing out the specifics here Bertie.
I have trans friends who fear REFORM no more than the current government. Particularly my trans friends. Some haven't made it because of policies Labour have ushered through.
We might well live in a country with a better economy than Reform can offer, we definitely live in a cou try with slightly more freedom than that.
Doesn't mean that much if your government want you dead.
14:40.
Not so conveniently "nuanced" now ey, me ol' Quisling Micawber1.😂
You forgot to add, "Vee ask der questions".
Tsk tsk.
12.26
And you clearly can't/won't answer them, Tankie (and it would be 'die' questions, plural).
But we'll take your uncharacteristic muteness on the matter as a clear affirmation that you're quite happy to see Farage and Reform as your next government. It makes logical sense in any case:
1. Tankie believes we've had an 'outright fascist' government for the last 2 years
2. In 3 years time Tankie will therefore welcome an extreme right, authoritarian, ethnonationalist, racist, xenophobic, merely fascist-ASPIRANT Farage government for their comparative tolerance and moderation, (the big softie).
Glad we've got that clear.
Simon 07.26
Seriously, Simon, if your trans friends really believe that *any* vulnerable, minority, othered, oppressed, fringe, outlier, or 'different' group (including, and *especially*, trans people) would not be a lot worse off under a misogynistic, authoritarian, 'common-sense'- fetishising, Trump-emulating government of reactionary throwbacks, then they really haven't been paying attention.
And you don't have to be trans to recognise that.
You're definitely right Sharon, he clearly didn't study marketing, or much at all.
I’m sure Sharon will appreciate the solidarity, Simon, but why not attempt to engage with what I pointed out to her rather than lazily chucking out a bit of ad hominem bitchiness?
That's a disgusting comment Bertie, particularly as I spoke about friends who decided to take their own lives due to policies.
Really quite a chilling response.
18:50.
Keep talking, me ol' Quisling Micawber1.
You might even convince your one dimensional self. But nobody else.😂
You've made some serious accusations, Simon, and I'm not sure what exactly it is you're overreacting to.
The final sentence? But it simply asserts that it is generally recognised that the Trump regime is brutal towards any 'minority' and you don't have to be a victim of the brutality to acknowledge the fact. Are you disputing that?
Was it that I said 'really not paying attention'? That's simply a commonplace idiom, isn't it?
And I said 'if your trans friends really believe', which could logically only be referring to your current friends, just as you had.
You obviously have understandably strong feelings on the trans issue, but let's skip the attempts at personal shaming and keep it rational, eh?
.
13.25
'One dimensional'? Is that some kind of subtly ironic self-deprecation, Tankie? A little self-awareness at last?
If not (and it's extremely unlikely) try having a look at your God-knows-how-many posts on Tim's Farewell MacSweeney item above. Then, if you can bear it, your thousands and thousands of similar dialogues of the deaf over the years, all in the same turgid tone, the same Spartist language, the same predictable imagery and the same links to the Canary and YouTube items that you presumably spend all your waking hours glued to.
'One dimensional', man? To adapt the words of the great philosopher/poet Bo Diddley:
'Before you Marcuse me
Take a look at yourself', Tankie.
16:57.
Nah, me ol' Quisling Micawber1.
It's MUCH funnier watching you Quislings eat your own livers.
Suck it up. You've earned it.👏
Hear, hear.
