Top Six - June 11

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have to be out and about later. So there.
6 Sun Labour Prep School Smear BUSTED The Murdoch goons tried to suggest that shadow chancellor John McDonnell had been to a posh prep school. Except that wasn’t quite true. Even in the retelling.

5 Corbyn And The Bomb Second week on the Top Six for this post. Jezza was right not to agree to first use of the kind of weaponry that can lay waste to far larger areas, and kill many times more people, than the kind of nuclear devices set off at the end of World War 2.

4 It’s The Sun Wot Lost It The Murdoch Sun, along with the Daily Mail and others, blatantly propagandised in favour of the Tories. They threw as much abuse as they could muster at Jeremy Corbyn. And they still couldn’t get their chosen side over the win line. This could be the election when the press finally shot its bolt.

3 Sun Corbyn Terror Smear BUSTED Once again, the Murdoch goons took their cue from the perpetually thirsty Paul Staines and his rabble at the Guido Fawkes blog, claiming Jezza had addressed a banned Islamist group at a rally back in 2002. But, as so often, the reality was somewhat different.

2 Met Commissioner Says Vote Labour Cressida Dick responded to questions on Police resourcing in the wake of the London Bridge and Borough Market attack by saying that, yes, she would like more resources. That was only being offered by one major party.

1 Zero Hours Student IS STINKING RICH Second week on the Top Six for this post, and indeed, second week at #1. The £150 Ralph Lauren top suggested the student quizzing Jeremy Corbyn on Question Time might not be on his uppers. And Ed Robbins most certainly isn’t down to his last tin of beans just yet.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
