5 Global Warming – Mail Caught Telling Porkies Another David Rose article, another slice of misleading rubbish eagerly leapt on by the antis. It’s the same old selective use of figures, and the same old dishonesty.

4 Gary McKinnon – Tories, The Mail, And Yuman Rights The legendarily foul mouthed Paul Dacre and his hacks, and many of the Tories, want to repeal the Human Rights Act. Then Gary McKinnon had his extradition to the USA stopped on grounds of Human Rights. Guess what they didn’t want to talk about afterwards.

3 Luckhurst’s Lame Leveson Lament Into the speculation over what may or may not be recommended by Lord Justice Leveson strode Tim Luckhurst, now a professor of journalism. He smeared his opponents as authoritarians and Marxists, painted a vision of state control of the press, and otherwise showed he hadn’t got a clue what he was talking about.

2 All In This Train Together The Rt Hon Gideon George Oliver Osborne, heir to the Seventeenth Baronet, gave the impression that he was trying to blag his way into the First Class end of the train without paying for it. Moreover, it was discovered that he’d tried it on last May. Enquiries are continuing as I type this.

1 Uncle Dick And Blue Peter The Press fixed on an item from BBC man John Simpson’s memoirs about a children’s radio entertainer who he called Uncle Dick. But they didn’t name him. So we did. And also showed that the BBC may have indeed taken action against him, as they did against another presenter, this time on TV.
