Top Six - March 22

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have domestic stuff to do later. So there.
6 Clarkson Sacks Himself Jezza told an audience at Camden’s Roundhouse “I’m sacked”, which suggests he may be on his way out of the BBC.
5 Kelvin McFilth Ultimate Brass Neck Kel says he’s going to sue South Yorkshire Police for his own lousy judgment. That could be fun to watch.
4 Grant Shapps - Time To Go The still-embattled Tory Party chairman should either go, or he should be removed, if only for lying and then using his dishonesty to bully a constituent with the backing of the party’s lawyers. But don’t hold your breath.
3 Grant Shapps - Point Of No Return The Tories circled the wagons and span for all they were worth to try to get critics to “look over there”. They have decided to tough out the controversy, they’ve invested too much credibility in Shapps, and now they’re stuck. This may not end well for them - because there will be more bad news to come.
2 Don’t Menshn Clarkson While the right-leaning press was trying to pin a comparison of Jezza to Jimmy Savile on someone within the BBC, (thankfully) former Tory MP Louise Mensch inadvertently made that comparison in her Sun column. With friends like these, and all that.
1 Guido Fawked - Remembrance Hypocrisy The Fawkes rabble went after Labour MP Sarah Champion over charging a poppy wreath to expenses. But when a Tory made a claim for remembrance expenses, he got a free pass. Not that they’re biased or partisan, you understand.
And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
