Top Six - February 8

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have domestic stuff to do later. So there.
6 Myleene Klass - Hero To Villain The press loved her when she went into rent-a-rant mode against Mil The Younger on The Agenda, but when she started up on her fellow private school parents, that was different.
5 Spectator Free School Deception The Spectator ran an article questioning the Ofsted report on Durham Free School. What was not told was that its author ran his own Free School in Brixton - which cost £18 million, and started up with only 18 pupils.
4 Mail Boots Promotion Backfires The defence of the Walgreen Boots Alliance CEO by the Mail only served to show that it was no longer “Boots The Chemist”, and that supporting someone with a £7 billion plus pile of money who lives in Monaco might not go down too well with those voters the paper is trying to influence.
3 Cathy Newman In Big Trouble The Channel 4 News presenter’s account of what happened at the Streatham Mosque appeared to differ from what was shown on their CCTV. That is the kind of thing the right-leaning press loves to jump on.
2 IEA Exhumes Flat Earth Idea Converting railways to busways? That got shown the door in the 1980s - but Richard Wellings of the IEA is desperate enough to wheel it out again. It doesn’t take long to take the idea apart.
1 Jeremy Clarkson - You’re A Clown Jezza, who garners millions a year, wants us to feel sorry for the possibility that he might have to stump up three grand a year more on his luxury pad in London. Very few minds were changed.
And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
