Top Six – May 18

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have the dreaded gardening to do later. So there.
6 UKIP – The Paranoia Builds Acolytes of Nigel “Thirsty” Farage and his fellow saloon bar propper-uppers decided that, among other fantasies, the EU were funding those who took the piss out of them on Twitter. Wibble overdrive enganged again.

5 UKIP Police Visit Paranoia The visit to someone who had Tweeted about UKIP’s less appealing side, after a complaint by one of the party’s Councillors, was held by the Farage faithful to be another part of the great conspiracy against them.

4 HS2 – Green Party Research Fail The Greens’ transport man rubbished the HS2 project, but his sources included right-leaning Astroturf lobby groups like the IEA, who couldn’t give a stuff about the Greens, and whose work has already been thoroughly discredited. Oops!

3 UKIP – Our Critics Are Retards Another of the less pleasant tactics used by the Farage fringe was to use a modified version of the R-word – “leftard” – to smear those that disagree with them. This includes at least two candidates.

2 Farage – After The Car Crash Following James O’Brien’s demolition of Nigel “Thirsty” Farage’s credibility live on air during Friday morning, the party faithful desperately span the interview, or merely abused O’Brien for doing his job.

1 UKIP Twitter Dirty Tricks Exposed Be very careful before you tag Kippers in your Tweets – they block, provoke responses and then report en masse to get users suspended. That’s UKIP free speech for you.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
