Top Six – April 6

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have domestic stuff to do later. So there.
6 HS2 – Isabel’s Hard Reality The Spectator’s Isabel Hardman signalled that the opposition to HS2 may become coordinated under Tory MP Andrew Bridgen. Here’s why that may not, in itself, move the antis forward.

5 Don’t Menshn The Beth Din The attempt by former Tory MP Louise Mensch to stop Beth Din and Sharia arbitration continued. And it was as successful as before, which is not at all.

4 Breitbart Clegg Russia Hypocrisy The batshit collective otherwise known as Breitbart London tried to smear Nick Clegg, telling that he worked for a firm that represented Russia. He didn’t, and the Breitbart crowd have their own Russia connection – appearing on Putin-friendly RT.

3 Littlejohn April Fool – You Wish Dicky Windbag wasn’t fooling anyone when he trotted out another barrel-load of porkies about obesity, something of which he has first hand experience.

2 Free School Scandal Spreads As one of Michael “Oiky” Gove’s flagship Free Schools closed its doors, another saw fraud arrests, which makes two. Meanwhile, the loathsome Toby Young asked his readers to “look over there” at the second Free School to be judged “Outstanding”. Not a good trade-off.

1 Lutfur Rahman, Panorama, And Gilligan The Panorama programme about Tower Hamlets’ elected Mayor did not contain any of the Muslim scare stories that Andrew “transcription error” Gilligan banged on about for so long. And much of it was down to very small parts of the council’s budget.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
