Washout? What Washout? – 2

The mildly interesting news on the weather front here in Lisbon is that yesterday’s mix of white cloud and sunny intervals has gone. The even better news is that it has been replaced with wall to wall sunshine, so along with the gentle breeze, and the occasional sound of a tram passing, that sunshine streams into my hotel room as the windows are opened.

But all things, as the Buddha and George Harrison observed, must pass. Tomorrow is time to return to the UK and more moderate climes – and the last days of the General Election campaign. What will happen there? That is not yet certain, but one thing I can reveal is that there will be an awful lot of very disappointed folks come next weekend.

And with that thought, it’s time to head up country once more. Next post should be from the UK.
