Cummings - A THIRD Lockdown Trip?

They all rallied round chief Downing Street polecat Dominic Cummings yesterday. The line taken was the same: he broke the lockdown because he cared, he was only wanting to keep his family, and particularly his young son, safe. To keep on about the story was jolly poor form. Then came the news that Dom had made more than one trip to Durham.
So now all those cabinet ministers - Rishi Sunak, Michael “Oiky” Gove, Suella Braverman, and the rest - look bad. There are rumblings of discontent among back benchers, with at least two, Steve Baker and Damian Collins, calling for Cummings to go. Baker was never on board with the Cummings project. Collins, who is not on the same wing of the Tory Party as Baker, has come to his current view this morning.
Dominic Cummings has a track record of believing that the rules don’t apply to him and treating the scrutiny that should come to anyone in a position of authority with contempt. The government would be better without him” he Tweeted earlier. So what would happen if Polecat Dom had been caught breaking lockdown a third time?
Would it be a case of “Three strikes and you’re out?” Just how far is alleged Prime Minister Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson prepared to support Dom? How many cringe-inducing skewerings of hapless cabinet ministers and other cannon fodder will there have to be before Bozo bows to the inevitable and sends the SOB down the road?
May 10 - that’s the Sunday after the V E Day Bank Holiday - saw Mark Wallace observing “Dominic Cummings currently visiting his parents in Durham. That’s a trip from London to Durham … our great government”. Another Tweeter asked him “I really hope this has been reported to [Durham Police]”. One responder confirmed it had.
Was this just mischief making? Well, as Jon Stewart might have said, two things here. One, how would Wallace know of the story that was still to break? And Two, he was not the only one recording a sighting of the Polecat. Later the same day, author Simon Young addressed a question to BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg. “Could you ask Boris why Dominic Cummings was in Durham today?” Two days later, there was more.
Once again. If Professor Ferguson quits after undermining the lockdown, what about Cummings?” Neil Ferguson did not even leave his house. There was no 260 mile plus journey by road involved, no potential transmission of Covid-19 at fuel stations and service areas. But he had to go. And there are two independent sources recording sightings of Cummings 12 days before the Mirror and Guardian broke their first story.
There is no way Polecat Dom would have stayed in Durham from April 19th - the date of the second sighting, which prompted today’s Sunday Mirror claim that he made two trips north - right through to May 10th. So there can be only one conclusion - that Cummings made at least three trips, at least two of them with no plausible explanation.

So when is Bozo going to bite the bullet and sack the SOB? No pressure, now.

  2. Spectator Journalist Mary Wakefield, Cummings' wife, wrote an article in her organ about her bout of Covid-19 and that of her husbands. She wrote the piece and made no reference at all about driving to Durham with Covid rampant in their bodies, and a child in the car. In fact she put a sentence at the end to make it appear that they recovered and emerged to 'lockdown- London'. Well yes, once he had driven back to London. Of that Durham visit and drive there was no mention. This is clear proof that they both knew they broke the rules. No 10. sent out a deflective statement about the Police not speaking to the family about this matter. When the Police said they had, it was inferred that the Police were lying. No 10 spinners dissected the story ounce by ounce, to trip any interviewer up on a point of fact. Because, FACT, it was Cummings' father who called the Police. The Police in Durham then called back (de facto NOT speaking to Dominic but his father) -so that' is supposedly all right then because you can't trust journalists to get this fact right so how can you believe the angle of the story which was that it was 'wrong' to go to Durham 'to protect a young child as any caring parent would do'. Classic. The worrying thing is the second punch delivered by he Mirror's Crerar and the Grauniad. Because, unless they get that Barnard Castle story set in stone with evidence on CCTV, plus documented evidence such as the car licence plate belonnging to Cummings on the alleged second trip 'day out' to see bluebells with date, that is completely watertight, they will lose the impetus of the story. Matt Zarb Cousin is right about this. They will, as many times before, away with it. Campbell is right that they are using the Breitbart/ Trump lie-deny-lie strategy. (This where you call everything fake and 'politcally motivated' that does not suit you. Everything. And, despite Campbell knowing his onions, no one trusts hm either because of the Dodgy Dossier and the whitewash of an inquiry on Iraq. Starmer is absolutely right not to have taken to twitter. It would have damned him by association. He is right to keep his cool and not get involved in a twitter storm, but merely to do as he has done -and get a Labour Press Office to put out a broad unattributable statement about questions needing to be asked. It seems to me there is not enough strong visual evidence of the second or even third trip to Durham to strike the killer blow. I hope I am wrong. I wish that science teacher had an i-phone and took some video footage that identifies location and Cummings en famille and the evidence of the car being parked in Barnard Castle on the day in question on the second trip. Plus CCTV at a motorway petrol station with date! Having a photographic memory is not enough unless it ca be downloaded with images onto a TV screen with a date that can't be altered. Don't ever go after these power hungry bottom feeders unless you have got the clincher evidence. You won't even wound them. It will just feed their exceptionalism. Go for the jugular every time with real killer blows!

  3. Clear that Cummings is the Puppet Master, the real PM not the fool that occupies No10 presently.

He has to go, with everyone making sacrifices from cancelling weddings, engagements, graduations, unable to visit dying relatives .this SOB believes he is Cardinal Richelieu, an untouchable.

His invincibility, promoted by Tory Cabinet ministers and client journalist Laura Kussenberg, whose 'No10 source' is clearly Polecat Dom.

  4. He doesn't think he's Cardinal Richelieu, he thinks he's playing a life size version of the Sims, and he's got the cheat codes.

  5. I appreciate that we would love to prove he was there but equally, Cummings could easily have provided incontrovertible evidence of his whereabouts and thus secured his own victory.
