Arron Banks - A Complete Shit

Not content with his creepy pursuit of the Observer’s Carole Cadwalladr, which has now seen him start a lawsuit apparently to do no more than shut her up, Arron Banks, the alleged “man who bankrolled Brexit” has decided to turn his deeply unsavoury personality to environmental matters, and has taken to Twitter to further that cause.
Banksy - what a comedian! Or maybe not

Banksy’s target is not going green - perish the thought from a hardened Brexiteer - but sneering at activist and campaigner Greta Thunberg, who has now set sail for New York on a zero added carbon yacht trip that will see her appear at a UN conference in just over a fortnight’s time. Banks clearly did not approve of all this green malarkey.
Greta Thunberg

So after Green Party MP Caroline Lucas told “Bon voyage to [Greta Thunberg] for her 2-week zero-carbon trip by sail across the North Atlantic … She’s carrying the vital message to the UN that time is running out to address the climate emergency”, Banksy sneered in response “Freak yachting accidents do happen in August …”.
Even Julia Hartley Dooda, who had earlier taunted Ms Thunberg, telling her how she would be booking long haul flights for her family’s winter break and not feeling any guilt about it, was not happy. “She’s a child, Arron. FFS”. What say Banksy? “Quite and one being used. Obviously I don’t hope she encounters a freak yachting accident! I just enjoy watching the ludicrous tweeter mob following the next outrage”.
Obviously. That’s why he broached the subject in the first place. The condemnation was instantaneous, with James Felton responding “If your reaction to a teenager not wanting the planet to die in a century is to joke about how you wish she’d die now you might just be some sort of massive dickhead just FYI Arron”. There was more. Rather a lot more.
Journalist Hannah al-Othman could only manage “You absolute ghoul”, while author Elizabeth May added “what the fuck is the matter with you?” and Neil Cameron chipped in “Bullying a child. Your cock must be fucking tiny”. Michael Marshall Smith mused “Funny how you guys care about a child being ‘used’ when she's making points you disagree with. Only then, really”. And one Tweeter was on hand to put Banks straight.
Even at her young age, she has already made a greater, more positive contribution to the world than you have in your whole lifetime. She is a voice of reason and science. You're just a bitter middle aged man. She is the future. You are the past. Show some humility”. Also, Ms Cadwalladr may find the Banks defence that he’s only shooting off his North and South to trigger the Rotten Lefties™ an interesting one.
All that was left was for Banksy to pretend he really didn’t mean it: “It was a joke .. you lefties have no sense of humour”. Was not head of Gestapo! I make joke! Perhaps for an encore, Banks would like to laugh along with Jo Brand, and in fact anyone who joked about his pal Nigel “Thirsty” Farage being fortunate to walk away from a crashed aircraft a few years back after a UKIP election stunt went wrong.

But perhaps the clear message to take away from Banksy’s latest attempt to publicise Himself Personally Now is that he is a complete and utter shit. No change there, then.

Poor Arron, he must be feeling rotten now after his latest bit of silliness. Let's cheer him up a bit by showing him that his actions can have good consequences. He'll be overjoyed to know that he's reminded Zelo St readers that they can contribute to Carole Cadwalladr's defence against his attempt to silence her here:

    Go on, cheer Arron up.
Ah, I can see the smile on his little face from here ............

  2. Odd how they are happy to have 16 year olds vote and appoint Britain's Prime Minister. I despair- were there always such viscous nasty fuckwits around?
And what is funny about someone being lost at sea? Did he think that was a real thigh-slapper?

  3. The day he tweeted about freak yachting accidents was the 40th anniversary of the Fastnet Race tragedy, in which 15 participants died. I don't know how much coverage yesterday's anniversary got in the British media, but it was a key item on the 9 o'clock news on Irish national tv last night. Banker can claim ignorance, of course, but the tone-deaf juxtaposition was not lost on many. . .

  4. Just Banks living down to his far right spiv reputation.

Be thankful he's on their side and doesn't pollute the air in your neighbourhood.

  5. According to Banks, Greta Thunberg is 'being used' - same applies to Darren Grimes?

  6. Remember when the US comedienne Kathy Griffin did a sketch with a mock-up of the severed head of Donald Trump? The bigot Nigel Farage wasted no time in appearing on Fox News condemning her. Griffin was sacked for her actions.

And yet the odious Aaron Banks suggests it would be fun to see a 16 yr old drown and simply dismisses his words as a joke. What's the betting he did not defend Kathy Griffin in anything like the same manner.

  7. Bizarre that he complains in another tweet about her defenders apparently condoning the exploitation of a "vulnerable" child while not realising that he's just wished possible death upon the same "vulnerable" child.

  8. When Banks is dead and gone, he will go unmourned and will be forgotten about, largely by his family members. Yet the sixteen year old girl he has wished death upon will be written into history books and have universities and ceremonies named after her. He's a jealous has-been.

And a joke? Banks has all the hallmarks of a completely humourless miserable man. He has no sense no humour and is miserable in every way. And he deserves every last bit of it.

I love that a sixteen year old terrifies these weaklings like Banks and Brewer so much! How did they become such terrified, trembling cowards? I blame the parents.

  9. I expect Banks will be honoured for services to cuntishness in de Piffle's imminent exit honours list.
