Leaked Cables - Look Who’s Talking

If anyone still needed to know why all those cables sent by Kim Darroch, the UK’s Ambassador to the USA, were gifted to mercenary hack Isabel Oakeshott to hawk around the press until the Mail on Sunday picked them up, they now know: every hard-right mouth artist, failed politician, pundit and hanger-on has been shouting the odds since the weekend, determined to have Darroch removed for, er, doing his job.
Kim Darroch

Put directly, it is the job of an Ambassador to any foreign country to report back to the UK Government with his or her insights. These may include the passing of adverse comment upon aspects of those countries’ Governments, especially those that may in turn impact adversely on the UK, or the UK’s relations with those other countries.
Squeaky attempt at power without responsibility finger up the bum time

That easy-to-understand thought has not been allowed to enter in the cases of those in whose interests the leaking occurred, not least Brexit Party Oberscheissenführer Nigel “Thirsty” Farage, who has frothed “Kim Darroch is totally unsuitable for the job and the sooner he is gone the better”. What renders him unsuitable? You haven’t a clue, frog features. You’re full of wind and piss. Wind your neck in and pipe down.
Also talking well, but lying badly, was the alleged “man who bankrolled Brexit” Arron Banks: “First class chap. Brilliant diplomat. Only his host country won’t have anything to do with him.. @KimDarroch was a Hillary fan and fawned over her , only problem was she lost. He made no effort to engage with Trump campaign and no one likes him”. All of which he just made up. He has no idea what engagement Darroch has undertaken.
No democratic mandate at all - still wants influence ...
... or in his case, no relevant democratic mandate ...

Nor does his congenitally dishonest sidekick Andy Wigmore who, on it being suggested that “wacky” would not be the first term one would use about Darroch, chirped up “I would, he’s petty and not the type of person you want representing U.K. interests - not sure you’re talking about the same Little Kim”. Darroch “little” compared to greaseball Wigmore? Yeah, right. And “petty” is yet more lying. Back to gofering for Banks, Andy.
Next is … oh look, it’s Smiler Tice. “It’s Darroch who has damaged and humiliated us on international stage, then not even had moral the integrity [sic] to resign”. And how has he done that, exactly? Richard Tice is the creep who believes that all the ills of Brexit can be solved if we all smile more and feel optimistic. Cloughie says he’s a clown, young man.
... which is the same for him
Even Combover Crybaby Donald Trump has made no sense, grunting incoherently “The wacky Ambassador that the U.K. foisted upon the United States is not someone we are thrilled with, a very stupid guy. He should speak to his country, and Prime Minister May, about their failed Brexit negotiation, and not be upset with my criticism of how badly it was handled. I told @theresa_may how to do that deal, but she went her own foolish way-was unable to get it done. A disaster! I don’t know the Ambassador but have been told he is a pompous fool”. He doesn’t know him but he’s wacky and very stupid. And it took the orange imbecile two and a half years to cough out an opinion about him.
It’s becoming all too obvious the leaking was done to enable the otherwise powerless to stick their bugles in. Which Farage, Banks, Wiggy and Tice have now confirmed. And the expounding of hot air makes tracking down the culprit that much easier. Even with the sideshow from Ms Oakeshott, now bleating at John Crace of the Guardian for suggesting she has to have her exclusives served up to her on a plate. Which I said two days ago.

  1. Darroch is finished and good riddance, another arrogant member of the leftist elite who think they know better than ourselves what is good for us.

And when it comes to power without the legitimacy of democratic approval I give you the choice example of the elite who know better than us what is good for us Shami Chakrabarti, remember voting for her?

    Drain the Swamp!

Apart from the right-wing outrage quote generator working overtime, it is unclear what the point of this comment is.

    Perhaps you would enlighten us.

But I'm not optimistic on that front.

  3. @1.

And Johnson (or *unt) is being appointed PM by who exactly?

And let's perhaps run through the Brexit party's candidate selection process.

    Whenever you like...

  4. I'm still waiting for a list of members in this "leftist elite" which runs the country.

Especially since we have had only extreme right wing governments since 1979.

  5. As if Anon above had ever heard of Darroch before this drama. And he cannot be "finished" as he has done nothing wrong and any attempt to fire him would result in an almighty law suit the government does not need. Probably Bully Boy Trump may get his way and Darroch will be simply moved to another country. As it is, the UK Ambassador deals with the State Department and not the president and especially this president who is a dolt.
However this affair is pretty frightening in the way the fool above and how Banks and Co have gleefully tried to capitalise on damaging leaks and they aren't showing their first loyalty is to Britain.
And in another era these ghastly sods would probably expect the British ambassador to Germany in the late 30s to send home cables home saying "Adolf is a lovely chap and is organising lovely holiday camps for Jewish Germans".

  7. @1 Calling out Trump for being an insecure dickhead isn't a "leftist elite" thing, it's just common sense.

‪Why have the Met Police gone public on the reluctance of an organisation to forward evidence for further help in their investigations?‬
Why do the individuals this evidence concerns look smug and self satisfied with their seeming untouchability?
