Kassam Says The Jews Fund Carole Cadwalladr

With the various Leave campaigns mired in findings of illegal behaviour, those who pursued them being proved right, and those who defended them being shown up for the witless shills they always appeared to be, it is no surprise at all that someone should decide to make one last futile gesture of accusation and defiance.
Sadly for Leave backers, the one making the gesture is Raheem “call me Ray” Kassam, now trying to drum up business for his Patreon. “Anti-Brexit Cadwalladr Accidentally Admits Soros Link” he claims, aiming, as have the perpetually thirsty Paul Staines and his pals at the Guido Fawkes blog, and latterly those at BuzzFeed UK, at Observer freelance Carole Cadwalladr. Sadly, the “Soros link” is so tenuous to be effectively absent.

Kassam kicks off his less than dynamic drivel with “Her stream of endless falsehoods has earned her the nickname ‘Carole Codswallop’, though I now suspect that rather than being just a moron Remain running dog barking up the wrong trees, she is a useful idiot on behalf of... you guessed it... George Soros and his Open Society Foundations”.
His source for the “endless falsehoods” and the nickname? Yep, the Fawkes blog. A borderline Fake News site. But do go on. “Cadwalladr has attempted to cover such tracks by issuing a series of tweets alleging that any critique of the billionaire, fund manager Soros is ‘racist’ against Jews. This is despite Soros's rejection of his Jewish identity, and in spite of the fact that he has openly admitted to assisting in the confiscation of Jewish property during the Holocaust”. This is deflection. It is not true. And it’s bullshit.
George Soros did not assist in confiscation of Jewish property. And whether he “rejects his Jewish identity” is irrelevant. Calling “Soros” is code for “the Jews”. Like gratuitously pitching terms like “globalists”, “global bankers”, and “Goldman Sachs”. Then Kassam claims that Ms Cadwalladr “rubbished the idea that she was on the take during her two year long fake news peddling”. Projection. Lame. More bullshit.

And where is this “Soros link”? Here it comes. Slowly. “She advises in the tweet above that her friends and fans should give money to OpenDemocracy, a hard left group that has openly lied and smeared its political opponents, with much of the British establishment media taking their word at face value”. Open Democracy isn’t an anything left group, and it does not lie and smear. More projection. Get to the point, Ray.

The group’s funding, he tells, is “hundreds of thousands of pounds in donations from UK universities, as well as known left-leaning, globalist [anti-Semitic dog whistle] ‘charities’ … the largest donations are from the Open Society Foundation: George Soros's outfit”.
So that’s it, is it? Looks like it. “While Cadwalladr has linked to OpenDemocracy a handful of times in the past, she has always claimed their investigations were ‘separate’ to hers. Today, it appears, during her latest outburst, she let the cat out of the bag”. Bullshit. Again.

Then he ends with “And surely Cadwalladr - working hand in hand with Soros's goons - can no longer call those of us skeptical of his influence into British affairs, ‘racists’”, but then lets his own cat out of the bag by whining about “Globalist shills”.

Ms Cadwalladr was right. Times must be hard for Raheem Kassam. Good thing too.

Indeed. Especially as a quick Google shows that he was born in 1930 making him 15 when the war ended.

  2. Is Kassam still wearing that stupid baseball cap with its even stupider slogan?

There is but one thing he can do to look even more thigh-slappingly ludicrous - wear the moronic thing back to front.

    The fellow is beyond satire.

As for the "issues", most people couldn't care less about the individuals named because they're too busy trying to make ends meet for their families.

  3. A good demolition job - thanks. What is so frustrating, apart from the general nastiness of the language Kassam uses, is his use of a quote of Cadwalladr's ("..working with open democracy..") to spin this as "funded by..."
I also note in passing that the open democracy website lists the Open Society donation in the £10-15,000 section - surely that'd barely pay for one racist facebook advert, would it?
