One might have thought that, after being shown the door by the Sun, losing a high profile libel action, and being told her contract at Mail Online would not be renewed, pro-am motormouth Katie Hopkins would at least engage brain before opening her North And South again. But events over the weekend have shown that this thought would have been misplaced - Hatey Katie is not for thinking before acting.

A Police officer on the Northumbria force has contacted a young woman called Jonaya English regarding an allegation made against her. She has not as yet responded to him. But she has publicised the matter, and on to the scene has leapt Ms Hopkins, who has not bothered to find out what it’s all about, because she already knows - yes, this is all about Scary Muslims (tm) and Political Correctness Gorn Mad!
As the A Liberal Life blog has pointed out, the complaint against Ms English is categorised as one of stalking and/or harassment. PC Mohammed Khan has been tasked with contacting her (the stalking and/or harassment bit has somehow been missed by Ms Hopkins). Instead, she has taken to Twitter to ask “Dear @northumbriapol - who is the head of your force please? Are you guys sharia? One of your 'officers' has gone the full Kim Jong Un”. Then she starts a little harassment of her own.
To PC Khan she ranted “You WERE the Campus Officer, son. You will not intimidate and blackmail non Muslim students on my watch”. Note the assertion that intimidation and blackmail has taken place, without bothering to find out. She then demands an interview.
“Please may I request a formal interview with you to understand why you think you have the authority to bully and intimidate University students over a single Tweet … As you are aware, opinions are not right or wrong. And no-one made you the invigilator of the truth … You will also be aware the UK does not have Sharia Law … I have contacted the head of your Police force with regards to your behaviour”. Ms English is not yet a student.
Where does one start? She doesn’t know what it’s all about, she’s nothing to stand up the bullying and intimidation claims - or the idea that he is “invigilating the truth” - and Sharia Law has stuff all to do with it. But he is a Muslim, so he must be in the wrong.
And as if Hatey Katie had not dug herself in deep enough, she then returned to Twitter to indulge in a little more harassment directed at PC Khan: “Mohammed. Please do respond to my email. Failure to engage will result in my appearing on your doorstep, son”.
Meanwhile, the Northumbria force has advised that the investigation in which PC Khan is involved is not related to a Tweet posted by Ms English (who disputes this). But not for the first time, Katie Hopkins (a) does not bother to find out what is going on before inserting herself in the narrative, (b) makes it all about Muslims, and concludes that they are in the wrong anyway, and (c) worst of all, has now threatened a Police officer with harassment.
Just how far does she have to go before Mail Online abandons the idea of letting her work out her notice and says “no more”? Her little Wild West Show has run out of road.
As usual, that staunch defender of British Nationalism has stuffed both feet into her mouth again. Her constant verbal persecution of individuals whom she thinks are guilty of things they are completely innocent of never sees any limit. It would seem that she is prepared to jump on the band wagon before they even bring out the horses.
ReplyDeleteHer constant tirades are boring, to say the least, and despite her record of being booted from her various employments she still pops up with her nastiness in full flow on any subject under the sun
Try looking before you leap into the middle of things or better still, keep your bigoted mouth shut.
Anyone who saw her interviewed by Hislop will have to acknowledge that the woman is at least partially unbalanced.
ReplyDeleteWhich might be partly attributed to her looming legal bill. Which will be VERY LARGE INDEED.
It can only end in tears. Mine of laughter, hers of self pity.
she's just looking for an easy fight that might redeem her in the eyes of what she thinks of as 'her public', nothing new there, hopefully she'll fade away, like Paul Nuttall, Nigel Farage and the rest of them...
ReplyDeleteNorthumbria Police should grant Hopkins's request for an interview, but not her approaching the officer, rather them interviewing her under caution with a view to bringing charges for threatening a police officer and for being a total arse (not yet a crime but in her case and some others it should be}. Large legal bills dont seem to cause her to pause before going in with both feet, so maybe the possibility of some gaol time might.
ReplyDeleteHarassment? It's blatant libel and she's inserting herself into a police investigation. Can she be more foolish?
ReplyDeleteIf you think dear Katie is bad, look at Jonaya English's Twitter account, it's horrific. Of course she is as stupid as Katie as well, Newcastle are never going to let her in after they have seen that mess. And if anything happens to PC Khan , she is in big, big, trouble
ReplyDeleteThe woman is reminds me of a braying ass...
ReplyDeleteIs she not obstructing a police officer? And jeopardising an on going investigation. I think she should be receiving her own email insisting she come down to the station for an interview. The police station that is. With a failure to engage warning of her own.
ReplyDeleteHer use of the patronising "son" alone is enough for me to hate her. Personally I hope that her approaching legal bill is so colossal that she ends up living in a skip.
ReplyDeleteOn Anne kelly's recommendation I took a look at Jonaya English's Twitter account where she's posted some examples of online attacks on her and her boyfriend. She objected to her and her beau being referred to as 'hoofwanking thunder cunts', something she deems as racist.
ReplyDelete'Hoofwanking thunder cunts!' That could have fallen from the pen of Shakespeare! Isn't the English language fantastic?
Khan had no right to threaten to have her university offer withdrawn. He should be moved to other duties. He is clearly a potential danger to non-muslim students.
