Top Six - April 9

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have domestic cleaning stuff to do later. So there.
6 Brexit - Theresa May Is Bust There won’t be a trade deal within two years, nor an end to freedom of movement. Still, never mind, eh?

5 Why The Mail Threatened Byline It wasn’t just about blagging, and it wasn’t just about the Mail - oh, and did I mention Leveson Part 2?

4 Syria Bombing - Not What It Seemed 59 cruise missiles pumped into a Syrian airbase, and there is so little damage that the airfield is usable later the same day? This was shock and awe - but only for media consumption.

3 Simon Danczuk - No Confidence The still nominally Labour MP suffered a little local setback when three CLP branches passed unanimous motions of no confidence in him. There will be more on this one later.

2 Easter Egg Non Story BUSTED The screams of victimisation from Christian groups were mere attention seeking - the Cadbury and National Trust Easter egg hunts had not abandoned the E-word. In fact, their website was plastered with it. Silly season comes early.

1 Sun Private School Excuse BUSTED The Murdoch goons howled long and loud about Labour’s proposal to fund free school meals for primary school pupils by ending the VAT exemption on school fees. That may be connected to so many of the paper’s posh and pampered hacks having gone to, er, private schools. Very expensive ones.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
