Guido Fawked - Danczuk Shill BUSTED

As part of their campaign against Leicester East Labour MP Keith Vaz, the perpetually thirsty Paul Staines and his rabble at the Guido Fawkes blog have hit a new low today, using the conduct of disgraced yet still occasionally Labour MP Simon Danczuk as if Spanker Si were some model of probity and high principle. The post, “BBC Reports Keith Vaz Booed In Leicester” (the Fawkes mob couldn’t be bothered turning up themselves) suggests that Danczuk has been badly treated in comparison to Creepy Keith.
Readers are told “Vaz is clinging to his position on the Justice select committee despite potentially breaking a law he helped draft” (note use of “potentially”, meaning he’s not yet guilty of any offence), and then “He retains the Labour whip and still sits on the party’s NEC despite consorting with prostitutes and trying his hand at procuring drug deals”.

That would be drug deals for which the Fawkes rabble cannot pony up any evidence, but minor details, eh? Then The Great Guido takes out a king-sized onion and protests “Compare this to the treatment of Simon Danczuk, a single man who sexted a woman but didn’t meet her let alone break any laws, and was immediately suspended by Labour … This is a glaring double standard – the only real reason action has been taken against Danczuk but not Vaz is their differing attitudes to the leader”, to which I call bullshit.

Spanker Si sexted, let’s get this correct, a 17 year old girl, Sophena Houlihan. As the NSPCC has explained, “The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child defines a child as everyone under 18 unless, ‘under the law applicable to the child, majority is attained earlier’ (Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, 1989). The UK has ratified this convention”. Ms Houlihan was therefore defined as a child when Danczuk sexted her.
Moreover, the Labour Party was considering Danczuk’s conduct as an MP, which is bound to include his less than ecstatic reception at the recent Oldham West by-election campaign, his attacks on his own party leaders all the way back to Tony Blair, the paydays for all those tabloid articles which he probably didn’t write, his going on the lash rather than attend the Syria debate, and deserting his constituents during the floods.

At the time the press busted Danczuk for sexting a 17-year-old, he was supposed to be in a relationship (“single man” my arse), which was ended by his then partner Claire Hamilton on the spot. He has since been collared for substantially over-claiming his expenses, and has been involved in other lurid exploits with young women.

Then there was the bust-up with ex-wife Karen than caused him to be nicked by the Guardia Civil and spend two nights in the nick at Orihuela, as well as the minor matter of Kazza needing hospital treatment that required 49 stitches to treat two nasty cuts. Spanker Si has no room to go running to his pals at the Fawkes blog claiming mistreatment.

The Great Guido really ought to put the bottle down and engage brain before shilling for Simon Danczuk, who rightly remains suspended. Another fine mess, once again.
