Top Six - June 5

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have to make use of another excellent fine day later. So there.
6 Tory Expenses - The Canvassing Millions The Tories’ national election expenses return featured at least £4.78 million described as “canvassing”. Paid canvassing in constituencies is illegal, and none of it appears to have been declared locally anyway.

5 Simon Danczuk Takes The Piss Rochdale’s nominally Labour MP has now employed ex-wife Karen’s BFF on the public tab. Her track record? She was cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic until last month. Time for Labour to act.

4 Tory Expenses - Mundell Miracle The MP for Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale had an enormous distance to cover during the campaign. There were activists bussed in all the way from Glasgow. But he declared no transport costs.

3 Press Corbyn Booing Hypocrisy The righteous reaction of some in the press pack to being mock-booed by Labour supporters suggests someone needs to get over themselves.

2 Tory Expenses - The Keen Activist Another enthusiastic party member, another bout of candour, and more questions for CCHQ to answer.

1 Murdoch Mafia Warns Gary Lineker A second spell on the Top Six for this post from last month: the Murdoch doggies went in with both feet after the Match Of The Day lead presenter dissed their man John Whittingdale.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
