Top Six - June 19

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have to be out and about later. So there.
6 Julia Hartley Brewer - Me Me Meee! Owen Jones walked off the Sky News press preview after appalling deflection of LGBT hate crime by host Mark Longhurst. But in the retelling it was all about Ms Hartley Brewer.

5 The Sun Says Be-Leave In Murdoch The Murdoch mafiosi have instructed their readership how to vote in the upcoming EU referendum. That’s the people who work for an unelected foreigner who doesn’t have the vote.

4 Don’t Menshn Jo Cox When there was a need for pundit restraint after the brutal murder of Labour MP Jo Cox, along came (thankfully) former Tory MP Louise Mensch to go in with both feet on anyone not agreeing with Herself Personally Now.

3 Jo Cox Dead - Stop The Madness We knew where the incendiary rhetoric could lead. It is time to tone it down, and for those who have allowed it to happen to join the call to do so.

2 Mail Front Page - EU’re Busted The Daily Mail’s splash claiming that refugees from Iraq in the back of a lorry was the same thing as freedom of movement was not only crude dog-whistling - it was totally untrue. No change there, then.

1 Toby Young’s Video Nasty The loathsome Tobes put together a film showing lots of ways in which the EU was rubbish and rotten. Sadly, much of what he claimed was either selectively presented, poorly researched, or just not true. No surprise there.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
