While Rochdale’s nominally Labour MP Simon Danczuk continues to lurch - often drunkenly - from one crisis to another, his second wife Karen has continued to believe that she is some kind of genuine celebrity, and so has been doggedly pursuing every opportunity to obtain More And Bigger Media Exposure For The Benefit Of Herself Personally Now. But this pursuit has not been without its problems.
Karen Danczuk - modest dresser
Nowhere can Kazza’s problems be better seen than on Twitter, the medium she employs to tell all her devoted followers how very wonderful she is. Sadly, not everyone out there agrees with her high opinion of herself - this is part of the mysterious concept known as “
Free Speech” - which has resulted in her calling those detractors “
Trolls”.
Indeed, earlier this week she combined this idea with her established habit of shameless self-promotion as she Tweeted Katie Price “
I have some extreme trolls. It's time @twitter put a stop to them!” But when Twitter did take action, it was not those Kazza accused of trolling that took the hit, but her. Yes, Kazza overstepped the mark yesterday and got her Twitter account locked out. Here’s what happened.
Kazza Tweeted “
Can everyone do me a favour please … tweet @offcentrenews with the word 'TROLL' let’s give her & her timeline a taste of her own medicine”. Quite apart from the unfounded accusation of trolling, this is a blatant breach of Twitter terms and conditions - see “
Harassment: You may not incite or engage in the targeted abuse or harassment of others. Some of the factors that we may consider when evaluating abusive behavior include: if the reported account is inciting others to harass another account”.
Subsequently,
Zelo Street contacted Twitter Support and pointed out “
This Tweet appears to be a flagrant breach of Twitter T&C (incitement)”. My complaint was not the only one made about Kazza’s attempt at incitement. The matter was duly considered, and yesterday afternoon Kazza’s Twitter output suffered an unscheduled interruption as her account was locked. The offending Tweet has since been deleted.
Support commented (part of the communication has been redacted) “
We have reviewed the account you reported and have locked it because we found it to be in violation of the Twitter rules … if the account owner complies with our requested actions and stated policies, the account will be unlocked … Please continue to report any future violations of the Twitter rules”. Kazza is back on air as she did as she was told.
And what this saga tells everyone is that while Karen Danczuk loves to cry wolf on Twitter trolling, she is the one who is doing it herself. It looks like the art of deploying falsehood and misinformation is one she has learnt well from her now ex-husband, who is
back in the news himself this morning after coming close to causing a diplomatic incident while visiting Bangladesh. They still make a right old couple.
It will be fun to see Kazza fib her way out of that one - if she can.
And then Karen Danczuk went on to lie to a Twitter follower her account hadn't been locked. It had, and a tweet had to be removed.
ReplyDeleteToday she's whining about trolls, though she's happy to abuse anyone who crosses her.
If only the same rules applied to howling tories during PMQs.......
ReplyDeleteAll of them look like they're about to choke on their own hatred.
Time she got a taste of her own medicine. Such a nasty self rightious excuse for a human being.
ReplyDeleteOne of the most nastiest individual I have ever come across. Doesn't know the difference between comments and trolling. Idiot.
ReplyDeleteThe not so fragrant Mrs Karen Danczuk, an update.
