Top Six - October 25

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have house stuff to do later. So there.
6 Cameron To Rat Over Leveson Young Dave and his jolly good chaps have been making noises suggesting they may try not to table the provisions in the Crime and Courts Bill that were part of the Leveson process. Not that they want to appease their pals in the press, you understand.
5 Corbyn Spin Doctor Hypocrisy The right-leaning press was up in arms at the news that Jeremy Corbyn had given a berth to Guardian writer Seumas Milne. That would be mainly the same right-leaning press that was so willing to defend convicted criminal Andy Coulson when he worked for Cameron.
4 Simon Danczuk - Prizewinning Fraud? Rochdale’s nominally Labour MP has been awarded this year’s Contrarian Prize. The organisers might care to look more carefully at the veracity - or lack of it - of some claims made in his book on Cyril Smith, which has been cited as a major reason for his being given the award.
3 Tom Watson Vindicated AGAIN The Select Committee appearance by Labour’s deputy leader showed once again that he was only doing his job and had done nothing wrong.
2 Tom Watson VINDICATED The Met confirmed that they received the MP’s letter AFTER they interviewed Leon Brittan. The press were duly busted.
1 Telegraph Portugal Claim Busted The Tel’s EU naysayer Ambrose Evans Pritchard claimed that some parties had been “banned” from office in the wake of this month’s election in Portugal, and that Brussels was somehow involved. Both claims were totally untrue, and demonstrate a worrying ignorance of the country’s politics.
And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
