Top Six - August 16

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have shopping to do later. So there.
6 Sun Owen Jones Smear Fail The recycling of puerile and homophobic abuse from the Fawkes blog by the piss-poor SunNation website was not a good idea. And had zero effect.
5 Don’t Menshn Jeremy Corbyn Into the attack on Labour’s veteran left-winger waded (thankfully) former Tory MP Louise Mensch to suggest that Corbyn was an anti-Semite. He isn’t, so it was hardly worth her while bothering. As usual.
4 Press Scared Of Jeremy Corbyn The right-wing press has decided that Corbyn really could win the Labour leadership. So they exercised their right to free speech by suggesting that he should not be able to exercise his, except with their approval.
3 Danczuk Disses Democracy Rochdale’s nominally Labour MP had already made his mind up that he would not accept the result of the Labour leadership contest, unless the winning candidate met with the approval of Himself Personally Now.
2 Mail Corbyn Holocaust Smear Busted The Dacre doggies, representing the paper with arguably the most difficult past form when it comes to Nazism and the Holocaust, tried to smear Corbyn with Holocaust denial by association. It didn’t work.
1 Sunday Times Corbyn Smear Busted The Murdoch press was caught trying to associate the Labour leadership front runner with those it could then paint as anti-Semites, thus smearing him by association. The problem was that their reporter got rumbled after his deadline, but before publication.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
