Guido Fawked - Cameraman Hypocrisy

It was manna from heaven for the perpetually thirsty Paul Staines and his rabble at the Guido Fawkes blog: on a Vine, the moment when a Labour Party press officer seemingly pulls over an unfortunate cameraman from behind. The headline used by the Fawkes blog is unequivocal: “Cameraman Taken Down By Labour Press Officer”. The rotten lefties had, it seemed, been caught bang to rights.

There was even an update, telling readers “Informed the cameraman-slaying Labour press officer was an Anna Wright”. However, and here we encounter a significantly sized however, all is not as it might seem. To pull the cameraman over, the young woman concerned would have not only had to use significant physical force, it would also have been noticeable that she was doing so. There is no sign that she was.
Nor is there any sign that the cameraman is being pulled backwards. But if you look carefully at the Vine, it does appear that the sound man (wearing the pale brown trousers) has had someone trip over his legs. Now check out what Jason Farrell of Sky News (“first for breaking wind”) had to say. Initially, it was “Cameraman @rich_peach is taken down by Labour press officer as he gets off Miliband’s bus”.
Richard Perry, aka @rich_peach, begged to differ: “absolute Bollocks of course...diving whilst carrying my own camera? I got tangled up with someone's legs..It happens”, thus confirming that he had indeed got himself tangled up with the sound man. Farrell duly corrected himself, Tweeting “Cameraman at the centre of #tumblegate says he tripped - and wasn't taken down by press officer”.
That was at 0953 hours yesterday. The Fawkes blog posted their accusation at 1655 hours - seven hours later. Whether you conclude that it’s the cheapest kind of smear - the accusation is clearly untrue - or the shoddiest of research (and which only goes to demonstrate that the Fawkes rabble have no room to call themselves journalists), it’s complete crap. And it’s also an example of stinking hypocrisy.
When Staines, his tame gofer the odious flannelled fool Henry Cole, and a young man dressed in a chicken suit, barged into a crowd at a Ken Livingstone photo-op outside London Bridge station in 2012, Adam Bienkov observedA female journalist this morning confronted bloggers Paul Staines and Harry Cole of the Guido Fawkes blog after they rushed into a crowd at a mayoral campaign event causing her to be knocked over”.
Bienkov’s video of what happened is still available HERE. Staines was most put out at suggestions he had knocked her over, threatening legal action (Zelo Street readers will know all about Staines and his legal threats). But it’s fine for Staines and his rabble to wrongly accuse - and name - a Labour Party press officer of doing something similar. When you want real hypocrisy, the Fawkes folks are without parallel.

What a complete, utter, and absolute shower. So no change there, then.
