6 IEA Tells Cyclists To Drop Dead Richard Wellings, the IEA’s so-called transport “expert”, railed at measures to make lorries safer. After the Glasgow bin lorry crash, and a tipper truck killing four in Bath last week, that’s a brave position to take.

5 Tory Dinner - Fact Versus Fiction The real list of auction lots at the Tories’ fundraiser last week, and the moderately subversive parody from the excellent Doc Hackenbush, could easily have been confused. Judge for yourselves.

4 Cathy Newman Does The Right Thing The Channel 4 News presenter apologised for the misunderstanding over the Streatham Mosque, getting the tone just right. This was then spoiled as Louise Mensch opened mouth and inserted foot. No surprise there.

3 Amanda Platell - Pants On Fire The Daily Mail’s Glenda Emeritus went over the top (again) in order to smear Mil The Younger over the “Dowler Moment”. But neither he, nor any of his staff, had said what she claimed. Details, though, eh?

2 Nick Robinson - A Question Of Attribution The BBC’s political editor, by interpreting what had been told to him by Mil The Younger’s staff as a “Dowler Moment”, became part of the story. Not a wise move.

1 Owen Jones - Twitter Dirty Tricks Owen Jones was given thousands of fake Twitter followers. Then the perpetually thirsty Paul Staines and his rabble at the Guido Fawkes blog, by sheer coincidence, found out. Draw your own conclusions.
