Top Six – June 8

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have shopping to do later. So there.
6 Newark – UKIP Fails Again All the bluster from Nigel “Thirsty” Farage and his saloon bar propper-uppers and they still haven’t had their Orpington moment. Cue spin and excuses.

5 WLFS – Total Lack Of Discipline The “strictest state school in Britain”? If only that strictness extended to the staff of the West London Free School, where the loathsome Toby Young has apparently failed to follow proper procedure when dealing with bad behaviour by his staff.

4 Black Cabs v Uber – Get Real Don’t even think about directly comparing what is offered by Uber with London’s black cabs. The supposed newcomers are offering nothing better than a decent minicab, and less in the way of facilities and expertise.

3 WLFS – The Seedy Reality A number of staff have left, and will leave, the West London Free School, domain of the loathsome Toby Young, and some of the reasons are explored here.

2 WLFS – What The Head Was Up To Why Sam Naismith left the West London Free School comes clear as you see what he was up to. And he was not alone in his endeavours. So others are going, too.

1 Daily Mail – Say Sorry To Kate Granger Dr Granger is an NHS registrar who has been diagnosed with a rare and terminal form of cancer. She gave a speech at the NHS Confederation Conference the other day. The Mail then selectively used her speech to push its NHS bashing agenda. This totally misrepresented what she said. The treatment was callous and hurtful, so down to the usual Mail standard, then.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
