Top Six – June 15

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have to go out later. So there.
6 Uber And Black Cabs – Someone May Not Get It The IoD’s Christian May generated lots of soundbites on the ruckus in London over TfL’s hand-wringing. But he failed totally to get to the point – we’re not comparing like with like, and there is a tendency to turn it into a left versus right scrap, which it isn’t.

5 Gilligan Goes Guardian Bashing The Telegraph’s chief seeker out of Scary Muslims found a way to offload responsibility for his own lousy journalism – dump it on the hated Guardian.

4 Fraser Nelson – Bang Out Of Order The flagrantly Islamophobic front cover of the Spectator, using Douglas Murray, a known bigot, to write the supporting article, was no more than trolling for sales. That’s not good enough.

3 Sarah Vain And Bitter With It The pundit otherwise known as Mrs Michael “Oiky” Gove whined long and loud about Stones front man Mick Jagger. Because he’s been seen with a younger woman. It was the same rant as she had at Hugh Grant, except for the odd detail.

2 Nadine’s Latest Liverpool Whopper Not one to let a Labour bashing opportunity pass her by, Mid Bedfordshire’s Tory MP (yes, it’s her again) Nadine Dorries span a story about Liverpool Council and public benches. And it was another pack of lies, so no surprise there, then.

1 Gove Saved By His Own ... Book The “Trojan Horse” plot – the plot that wasn’t – was prophesised in a book by ... Michael Gove! Yes, just when he looked washed up, along came an opportunity to crack down and be a very wonderful Minister. What a fortunate coincidence. Or maybe not.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
