So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have cleaning stuff to do later. So there.

6 Guido Fawked – Less Trusted Than Facebook thanks to Laurence Durnan at Political Scrapbook, back came this post from September 2012, reminding everyone that the perpetually thirsty Paul Staines and his rabble at the Guido Fawkes blog had generated a 4% positive trust rating – lower than comments on Twitter and Facebook. Another fine mess.

5 Katie Hopkins – You’re A Troll is professional motormouth Katie Hopkins trying to make a serious point in her Twitter rantings? Er, no.

4 UKIP – Bigotry The Mail Missed Nigel “Thirsty” Farage’s pals include former National Front members, those who sympathise with those who have proposed repatriation of migrants, and EDL supporters. And those who exhibit signs of rank paranoia.

3 Jago Pearson – The Real Story a supposedly ordinary 21 year old graduate excoriated his teachers and lecturers for left-wing bias. But he wasn’t just any graduate – Pearson works for a Tory PR firm and has been a pointman for the so-called Taxpayers’ Alliance.

2 TPA – No Longer Non-Partisan the BBC Trust declared that the so-called Taxpayers’ Alliance was not a politically disinterested body, but a political organisation. No response as yet.

1 Another Gove Promotion Stumbles second week in the Top Six for this post looking at the Tyneside Academy where there has been some creative accounting to wipe out a £5 million debt, and a head teacher has left amid accusations that he was overseeing the teaching of creationism.
