Top Six – November 10

So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, I have domestic stuff waiting attention. So there.
6 Murdoch’s Towering Opportunism The Sun went after two 19 year old students who had dressed up as the twin towers of the World Trade Center and won a prize for doing so at a Chester nightclub. But if it hadn’t been for desperate hacks trawling social media sites in search of free copy, nobody would have been offended.

5 Commentator Boss In Open Meltdown Someone wound up Robin Shepherd to spectacular effect as he lost it totally, giving the impression not only that he had wrongly thought the anonymous winder-upper was Raheem “call me Ray” Kassam, but also that his state of mind looked to be verging on the paranoid.

4 Is Piers Morgan In The Poo? The Mirror titles have lost an attempt to throw out four phone hacking cases, which will now proceed to trial. That may mean the evidence, that was absent when all the previous accusations were being thrown at Piers “Morgan” Moron, may be on its way.

3 TPA – Officially Bullshit The so-called Taxpayers’ Alliance brought forth a load of supposedly helpful hints for councils to save money, including not cutting grass, but giving those areas over to grazing animals. That might not be such a good idea.

2 Don’t Menshn You’re Still Wrong Former Tory MP and compulsive know-all Louise Mensch crowed that she had found the evidence of the deeply subversive Guardiantrafficking” and moreover “muling” what she pretentiously calls “agents’ names” to other countries. Guess what? She hadn’t. Oh well, try again eh?

1 Telegraph’s Spy Compliance Shame We know the Telegraph is the conduit of choice for the spooks to get their message out. But last week, one particular series of articles was so shamefully bad that the flaws were all too obvious. Seeing journalists spraying their credibility up the wall so blatantly is not a pretty sight.

And that’s the end of another blogtastic week, blog pickers. Not ‘arf!
