So what’s hot, and what’s not, in the past week’s blogging? Here are the six most popular posts on Zelo Street for the past seven days, counting down in reverse order, because, well, it’s Sunday morning and I’m writing this while watching The Andy Marr Show (tm) at the same time. So there.

6 The Telegraph Muslim Problem Following the conclusion of the Heywood grooming case, with eight British Muslim men originally from Pakistan being convicted and sent to prison, the Maily Telegraph promptly closed comments on its news coverage, comment pieces and blogs. But then they have previous in this area.

5 Oo-er Readers, The Trains Won’t Drive Themselves! Almost as soon as London’s occasional Mayor Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson had been returned to City Hall, the Standard’s Pippa Crerar and Peter Dominiczak went to interview The Great Man and afterwards trotted out the rubbish about “driverless” Tube trains. It isn’t going to happen and they should quit peddling this idea.

4 Nadine’s Selective Outrage Still high on the chart for a second week is the observation on Tory MP for Mid Narnia (yes, it’s her again) Nadine Dorries, who is quick to take offence whenever anyone says anything uncomplimentary about her on Twitter. But when Private Eye published a most unflattering cartoon about her last week, she was silent. And she was happy to sit next to Ian Hislop on Have I Got News For You last Friday. Why the change? I think we should be told.

3 Dick And A Dodgy Gong The Daily Mail’s tedious and unfunny churnalist Richard Littlejohn has been handed an award for his twice-weekly tribute to Phil Space. Here’s why he doesn’t deserve it.
