Spectator Promotes Another Racist

As Fraser Nelson is once again given a platform by the BBC to regale viewers with his faux-posh sneer and assured hauteur, what neither he nor they are telling is that the magazine he edits, the increasingly alt-right Spectator, has once more been caught attempting to launder the reputations of flat-out racist bigots.

Exposed as a racist bigot ...

The conduit for this laundry, as it was when the Speccy told the world that Stephen Yaxley Lennon, who styles himself Tommy Robinson, was just a regular bloke with honest concerns about what was happening down his manor: step forward James “saviour of Western civilisation” Delingpole, promoting Battersea bedroom dweller Paul Watson.

Here’s the schtick: “Watson is a brilliant polemicist (his day job is to work for Alex Jones, the crazy host of America’s InfoWars) whose funny, angry, disgusted daily rants, delivered with his trademark northern-accented snark in front of his map of the world backdrop with his catchphrase ‘let that sink in’ have lured 1.3 million subscribers to his YouTube channel. You won’t see him on mainstream TV or in newspapers because he won’t go there. He sees the legacy media as the enemy”. More like they haven’t invited him.

... promoted by this wacko ...

Also promoted by Del Boy in the same article were Mark Meechan, aka Count Dankula, purveyor of race hatred in the name of FREEZE PEACH, and Carl Benjamin, aka Sargon of Akkad, whose apparent excusing of paedophilia did not help his cause. Nevertheless, we are told that “In fact, what Watson, Meechan, Benjamin and their ilk are saying is eminently reasonable, well thought through, logical and compelling”.

But what has been revealed by the people at Byline Times puts not just Delingpole, but also Nelson, in one of those Very Difficult Positions. Watson has been caught dispensing race hatred, including anti-Semitism: “Watson uses a string of racist and homophobic epithets and claims that he is sick of ‘media f****t activists’ sticking signs ‘up in my face trying to get me to join the gay f****t Palestinian cause. I don’t give a shit about Israel and Palestine. I care about white people. Not sand n****r Jew P**i f****t c**ns’”.

... in the pages of this not at all racist magazine ...

As Sir Sean nearly said, I think we got the point. And homophobia can be added to the charge sheet for three iterations of “faggot”. The anti-Semitism also included this pearl of wisdom from The Great Man: “I really think you should press the button to wipe Jews off the face of the Earth”. That right arm must be getting terribly twitchy.

Worst of all, none of those who have previously come across Watson and his ranting will be at all surprised by the revelation. But the ultimate problem here is not Paul Watson being a flat-out racist bigot - it is that there is a supposedly respectable magazine prepared to promote people like him to a wider audience as equally respectable.

... with the implicit approval of its most respectable editor

The Spectator promoted Stephen Lennon; it then promoted Paul Watson. It had already given a berth, and continues to give a berth, to Taki Theodoracopulos, a self-confessed anti-Semite who has written in favour of Hitler’s Wehrmacht, and Greek neo-Nazi group Golden Dawn. It gives a berth to vicious Islamophobe Doug Murray The K. It publishes racist claptrap from Rod “a smile, a song and a four pack of Stella” Liddle.

This is not a respectable magazine. Its editor should not be granted media exposure on that basis. Racism is neither acceptable, nor respectable. Let that sink in, eh?

Indeed "...racism is neither reasonable or acceptable..."

Which is why the racists exposed by the Labour internal report should have been expelled. Instead, the Starmer Quisling paid them off.

Nelson and co?....Pffftt...Standard far right nastzis. And people buy their crackpot bullshit.
