Bozo - Not Waving But Drowning

His few remaining supporters are circling the wagons, but for everyone else, it is clear that the game is up: Labour stretches its poll lead by merely sitting there and doing nothing, the evidence of illegal and corrupt behaviour mounts, the impression of sheer unrestrained villainy now inescapable. Alleged Prime Minister Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is facing the inevitably messy but assuredly final end to his premiership.

It may come before the end of the year; most likely it will stagger into 2022, shored up for now by Bozo’s lack of appreciation of reality, the Tories’ knowledge that all potential successors - Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak, Jeremy Hunt (the former Culture Secretary), and Benidorm holiday rep Priti Patel - would score less well with the electorate, and maybe third wife Carrie’s reluctance to relinquish her hard-won position at the heart of power.

But end it will, despite protestations in public, on the airwaves especially, that Bozo’s lying, duplicity, ineptitude, narcissism, and laziness are not seen by his adoring fans as a problem. Today, it was Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi still suggesting that the 18 December 2020 party which we all know happened did not happen, and raising his credibility deficit by adding that the 15 December Downing Street quiz wasn’t really.

The quiz is merely the latest bucket of petrol to be thrown on the fire to which Bozo’s plates of meat are being very firmly held. London was under Tier 2 restrictions at the time, which meant no indoor gatherings of more than two people. The image on the front page of today’s Mirror shows three, with the assurance that there were more Tier 2-busting groups around 10 Downing Street, one possibly of as many as 24 people.

So Zahawi trying to shoo the story away is never going to end well: if the Mirror has more of those images, then they too will be published in the coming days, a constant drip-drip of Governmental embarrassment, with the all-important North Shropshire by-election next Thursday now apparently likely to see the Lib Dems take the seat off the Tories.

The Tories’ defence of the seat Owen Paterson vacated in disgrace will not be helped by Pippa Crerar of the Mirror reminding us “At the time, Covid cases were soaring. On December 15 last year, 459 people died from coronavirus, while another 33,828 were infected”. Or lawyer Adam Wagner adding “From what I have been told … it's a clear breach of the govt's guidance and a potential breach of the law, including by the PM”.

Or Ms Crerar noting that the Murdoch Sunday Times has revealed that Rishi Sunak’s officials held a drinks party during lockdown late last year: “It wasn’t a formal party but perhaps in hindsight it wasn’t the most sensible thing to do”. Or that “Work and Pensions Secretary Therese Coffey’s staff regularly drank alcohol late into the night in her private Whitehall office throughout the pandemic”. Tories make the rules, then flout them.

Meanwhile, the latest opinion polling gives a Labour lead of nine points. If that were to open any further, we would be looking at the Tories coming out of a General Election losing well north of a hundred seats, one of whom would be Bozo himself. A gap even wider would see Labour returned to power. The Tory way is to act before that happens. Which, given the shallowness of the talent pool on offer, would make things worse.

The time of Boris Johnson was for a time, but not for all time. Just rejoice at that news.

Not only must he go, there must surely be grounds to prosecute him as well.

But as these events took place both in the workplace *and* on Crown property, surely the rules don't apply anyway?

Is it a scarf that's draped over the security camera?

And therein lies the national problem.

Replacing Bozo with the Quiff Quisling will bring nothing more than relief at being rid of an obvious liar and gang leader of thieves.

The Quisling will protect the Establishment (of which he is part) without any change worth the name. It's what red tories do: treachery and betrayal. Expect nothing but mealy-mouthed weasel words.

Johnson? Or the 'Quiff Quisling'? Utterly indistinguishable.

But cometh the hour, cometh he man.

Come on, Anonymous @ 12.16, give us a REAL choice! Set out your programme. You owe it to the Country!

@16:43.

I like this:

But Britain prefers Bozo and the Quiff Quisling. So we deserve what we have.

The photo of Coffey is the greatest "Drink responsibly" poster ever.

And then Bloody Stupid Johnson delivers a pre-recorded statement to World+Dog so he can both turn down the animatronic haystack spiel and not have to answer any awkward questions afterwards. It's almost as if there's a by-election this week or something.

Pre recorded perhaps.

He didn't pre-inform any of the vaccination agencies that his mouth would write cheques that he expected them to cash.

So today we see massive queues, and turn-aways from vaccination centres and chemists.

Even Grayling wasn't this incompetent.
