Boris Cheerleaders’ Brexit Bluster FLOPS

Our free and fearless press, having got its man into 10 Downing Street, has gone from the simply partisan to aping Pravda and Isvestiya in its sycophantic coverage of anything related to alleged Prime Minister Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson. Anything and everything emanating from Bozo The Clown is relayed with gushing praise; all criticism is dismissed and if necessary demonised. Hurrah for Boris!
A total Muppet. And Elmo from Sesame Street

From this, it followed that unlike Theresa May, Johnson would be able to break apart the Gordian Knot of the Withdrawal Agreement and vanquish those dastardly garlic-crunching Eurocrats. For starters, he would do away with the so-called Irish Backstop, which he had already decried as something that would put Britain into a state of vassalage.

This was the scenario painted by the propaganda Commissars of the central praesidium, otherwise known as the inmates of the Baby Shard bunker, where Comrade Journalist Trevor Kavanagh told readers of the Super Soaraway Currant Bun “He will get us out of the EU by November 1 as promised. Britain will thrive and flourish once we have negotiated the choppy waters to an open sea”. Hurrah for Boris!

The Sun’s editorial apparatchik echoed the line handed down by Comrade Trev: “Eurocrats simply can no longer insist on shackling us to an Irish backstop that keeps us tied to them”. It was the same over at the Daily Mail.

Here, senior Rothermere Politburo member Stephen “Miserable Git” Glover, the Mail’s very own Andrei Gromyko, told readersWhat will European leaders have made of Boris Johnson’s barnstorming speech on the steps of No 10 yesterday afternoon? He threw down the gauntlet to them as has never happened in the past three years”.
There could be only one conclusion to be reached: “there will be a lot of stunned and worried people in Brussels and around the capitals of Europe today”. Why so? “EU officials and the Irish government have in recent weeks endlessly repeated … that … there is absolutely no question of renegotiating the Withdrawal Agreement … But there are nonetheless hints … that the EU’s intransigence may be beginning to crumble”.

Hurrah once more for Boris! But sadly, all the propaganda in Grubstreet cannot overcome the inconvenience of reality. And so it came to pass that the BBC reported “Top European officials have rebuffed the Brexit policy of Boris Johnson after his first speech to UK MPs. The new prime minister said he was committed to ‘getting rid’ of the Irish border backstop, which has long been a bone of contention in negotiations”. How top were these officials?

Very top. “The EU's chief Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier, said removing the backstop guarantee was unacceptable … Mr Johnson also spoke on the phone with EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker … Mr Juncker reiterated the EU's position that the already-negotiated withdrawal agreement was the best one possible”.

So that’s the first salvo of can-do propaganda shot down quicker than you can say “Counter-revolutionary anti-Party elements”. Johnson and his press cheerleaders can bluster themselves into exhaustion, but it will get them precisely nowhere.

The Great Age Of Boris is nothing more than wind and piss. I’ll just leave that one there.

Ah yes...The hated Irish...The cause of all our problems for eight hundred years.

It was only a matter of time before they got the blame.

Makes a change from the Germans and French too.

Now the lunatics have taken over the asylum you can expect more of their rabid spittle. The worst is yet to come.

But that is not the purpose of the propaganda, Johnson and his employers know full well that the EU are not going to do an about-face on their stated position. What we're seeing is a "reminder" of who the fall guys will be in preparation for a forthcoming General Election campaign.

And for the uninitiated the people and entities who will get the blame when things go to hell will be, in no particular order: -

"Remoaners" (presumably for not possessing the necessary quantity of unbridled optimism)
Rational Leave voters who thought the governing party possessed a modicum of common sense (yes, I know)
The EU (for having the temerity of sticking to the agreed position as opposed to rolling over to every ludicrous demand made by a demented bunch of over privileged tw@ts)
Jeremy Corbyn (for fairly obvious reasons)

The propaganda clerks will be queuing up to deliver their usual far right diatribes. None of the overpaid bribed cowards would recognise a hard day's work if it slapped them in the face and threw a milkshake over them.

Just wait until a general election looms and they team up with the red tory Blair-Brown gang. It'll make Volkischer Beobachter look like the Beano.

They'd sell their arses for a mess of potage. Or in Blair's case £50k per "lecture".

There is something madly ironic in the notion that Brexiters cannot stop reminding everyone that they won a referendum with a majority vote and it's a shining example of Democracy while lauding a new PM & Brexit hero who will "get the job done" who was elected on a minuscule vote of Tory Party members.
And when will the media click to the fact Nigel Farage has effectively stacked the Tory party with numerous new members over the past 12 months..a lot 16 years old..which gave the desired result?
The deadly but effective hand of Steve Bannon has been hard at work while so-called "British patriots" lap up this foreign influence.
